According to this article, the beta will become open on September 11th. All terrorism aside, I'm even more excited. I didn't think it was that close. And apparently if you have Medal of Honor or an Origin account you can get in the beta early.

So have any of you read anything about how they are going to implement jets on console? For PC it makes since, because there are 64 players, but for console I just don't see how it would work. And if they do pull it off, it would never be as cool as PC. The only reason I ask is because I am lame, and only play console. I guess my fear is that the games could end up being vehicle heavy, leaving little to no foot soldiers.
Same here and Im kinda wondering the same thing. 32 players is still pretty hectic though (BF:BC2) so it could work.
Me being the Battlefield fan I am, and also making pretty good money at work. I have both the PC, and 360 version of Battlefield 3 pre-ordered... I'm getting the PC version all pretty much because of the huge 64 player battles and I know a few people I can play it with. Then I'm also getting the 360 version of Battlefield 3 so I can play with my co-workers, and the Xbox Live friends I have.
See that is the problem though. On console it was never 32 players, it was only 24. If BF3 had 32 players, and I know that it does not, it would make adding Jets a little easier to balance. Yet as it stands, console will only support 24 players, so I am curious how Jets will play out. Either way I can not wait for this game to be out, because Dice knows how to make great games!

So I was playing BF:BC2 today and suddenly thought "**** Im pumped for Battlefield 3!" Yep, cool story.
I was playing last night and was thinking the same thing. I just can't wait till BF3 comes out and there are consistently full lobbies again. I just hope that BF3 does not die out as fast as Bad company 2 did on the console. It is so hard to find a full game of rush or conquest anymore
