Thank you and for the pictures, they will grow over time. Though for now I only want people who are testing the map to be able to see anymore. :) It'll build up curiosity and people who test will get a little more out of it. Haha

That platform looks like something straight out of the campaign, which is awesome. That's the first time I've seen someone use those antennas well besides just as a column.

But damn it, you stole a good name for a map I had in the back of my head. :p

Thank you ace, the rest of the map looks pretty real
gamewise too. :) I'm sorry about the name steal though.

By the way, when I was building this with the antenna pieces I though "Wow, I look like a noobie to forge using all these antenna piece upside down and stuff"... XD But I thought I'd keep it cause it all functioned right and ran smoothly.

Had the honor of getting the first play test on this map last night, and I have to say that it played nicely. I did notice blaze that a majority of the combat centered around the two way teleports, and the base that is the the bottom right of your picture. I would say the least used area's would have been the tower, and the outer walkway. I would say those two locations would be the places to add power weapons to create a little more flow. Also, I think this map would play beautiful for 3v3. Even though it is open I think it could easly support a 3v3 game. 2v2 on this map was not slow by any means, but it was also not completly fast paced, if that makes any sense?? Anyways, i look fwd to playing this map more.

I sent you a friend request the other day. I would really like to get in on some tests on some of your maps, especially this one. That second picture looks awesome and I really want to see how it fits with the area on the first picture.

I have removed the cores and added cover on the sniper tower with the help of Rouge. It looks beafy now. :p I'm sure it will be used a little more. :) I'm definitely going to do some 3v3 testing soon. Thank you for the constructive critism and helping test. :)

Thank you. :) I will absolutely get you into some testing, I'll be testing this map out the ass.

First of all that is a sick overveiw, I am jealous. Also I thought that the test we had the other night went pretty well blaze. I think I told you this, but I think you need to cut off the back part of the map, there was A LOT of frame-rate back there. Also, it could be because we played a 3v3, but there were not a lot of safe areas. I think some of that could be changed just by messing with the spawns. I will have to look at this with you soon!

Roos was very nice about doing this overview. He did a great job for me. :) Yes, it did. Thank you for helping me test. I cut down on the frame rate a ton, there is very little in forge even at the moment. I added a few little bits of cover around the map and its seeming smaller already, so it'll probably seem easier to get away now. With the new things I've added, I'm going to be messing with the spawns some more too.

    Update: Video added.

First of all Roo how did you make that overview? What kind of program did you use? Secondly how long did that take? There seems to be some much detail in this! Thirdly, really nice video blaze, I would like to get a few more games on this before its release!

I have to say, after taking a look at this map last night I'm in love with every aspect of it except for the 'key aesthetic'.

That crown thing just does not fit in at all with the rest of the inherent theme, and why the hell is there a turret upon it overlooking a vastly open area?

Also, while I can appreciate the aesthetic tower behind Red base (I believe) it just seems like making it that accessible will just lead to frustration. Might I suggest making the tower itself inaccessible?

I take an overhead snapshot of the map and place it on the bottom layer of my drawing program to use as a guidance. After I'm finished with the drawing I thicken the boundary lines and I darken the less important details such as terrain aspects or aesthetics.

You could straight trace the the image if you wanted, but the perspective of the map is going to be too three dimensional and overall the drawing is going to be hard to follow. Also, many of the larger pieces will hide other areas of the map.

The whole process ranges from an hour to three hours, depending upon the complexity of the map.

Oh, and the program I use it called Adobe Flash. It's really not the best drawing program to use but it's one I work in a lot and feel most comfortable in.

This looks great, especially after seeing the snazzy overhead pic and the video. I'm sorta surprised this doesn't also support 3v3 since it looks so roomy. I know you said this was set for release soon but if you need any last minute testers let me know. Also as for the turret in the jackal tower I understand wanting to keep it there for the campaign concept, as long as it doesn't cause much of an imbalance. Would it break that concept up too much to point the turret up at the tower from the ground instead to counter the tower?
