Don't know if this is the right section...if not, please tell me where to post this. Is there a way to make it so that you can only use equipment one time, and it doesn't recharge? I want to make it so people only get jetpack to fly down out of a Pelican, not to fly around an invasion map aimlessly.
No way to limit the use, I'm afraid. Though, If this particular Pelican part is at the very beginning of the round, you could have the players spawn on non-respawning custom powerups that allow armor ability use for a few seconds.
But then on the original spawn they will not be able to use it, requiring them to kill themselves before proceeding. Respawn traits only apply to respawns,.
I ended up making the jetpack just unable to reach anything important, and modifying my spawns. Then, I put a teleporter from the ground up to the Pelican for anyone that decides to not pick jetpack, and they also must return the core in the end back to the Pelican. And the jetpack class only started with a Magnum and one Frag Grenade, so it should imply that "I don't want you using this" vibe. lol EDIT: Also, does anyone know where to find the original link to TGIF? I would like to find out what that is...but I can't find the sticky for it.. I've found it before, but I can't anymore (that was almost on purpose, but more or less just happened) I don't want to create a new post, but I'm sure someone else will read this post. I don't want to be blamed for spamming when I just can't find the sticky lol
- Make people spawn without AA's - Place Jetpacks on the spawn points so that they will automatically pick up the AA. - Label the Jetpacks with invasion gates and make them dissapear on the next way (?) It works with weapons (the dissapearing part, cant let people spawn without a weapon) Worth a try i guess.
I say that you have some custom power ups right where the players spawn that allow them to temprarily use the jet-pack. Set it so it last long enough for them to land and then it goes away. Then after that you can make it so that the jetpacks don't appear again in the loadouts. Does that offer any ideas?
