So I've been using this free software called MPEG Streamclip, but apparently it's not free because it says the demo has expired and now places a big red watermark on top of the video. If anyone knows how to get the "full" version of this it would be great. If not, any other suggestions? I need something that converts from AVI to MOV without lowering video quality... Oh yea, I'm on a Mac
Why do you need to convert a video from AVI or MOV? If anything, if you have a video editor, use that. Import the AVI and export as H.264. It would take about the same time as a dedicated conversion program.
Wow Bloo you've knocked some common sense into me, haha. But now that I get a better look at it, it wasn't my MPEG Streamclip software that was acting up...The person who captured the footage sent it to me like that. Lol
I remember spending hours on this. Just search around, I can't remember what I came up with but it worked really well and the title was "i" then something as in itunes, and was free. Lol that prolly doesn't help, but good luck.
I'm guessing it was the #3 on this list, iSquint: Top 10 Free Video Rippers, Encoders, and Converters Remember, if you ever need to find a program to do a a task, do a quick Google search for the general process and "lifehacker"
I use riverpast. I find that certain file types don't take to kindly to being rendered in AAE. Riverpast if very free if you happen to find it on your doorstep.
Thanks guys. Now I have two potential programs in mind. But the program isn't the problem anymore. The video came with the watermark:/ It looks like this. Even though I highly doubt it, my new question is...is it possible to remove the watermark?
You COULD Chroma key it out... But that would do nothing since the video behind it would not show. So instead of a coloured watermark, you get a black watermark.
