Possibly the most ridiculous comment I have ever read. But then again, what do you expect from someone posting a video that doesn't show the whole scene, but starts out with a guy wanting the other guy to get tased, and then claims to know him, saying he has mental issues. I don't know what part of humanity you lost faith in, but the fact that this guy supposedly wanted his mentally retarded acquaintance to get tased just so he can put the video on youtube seems a lot more f*cked up than a cop possibly using excessive force in a situation that we are dropped into midway.

What Dunkin said is basically it. You can look at all the videos like this on youtube and it still won't outweigh anything else on youtube. People make mistakes when they have a bad day.

According to an article the handicapped guy was harassing people outside the resturaunt, being disruptive, etc. You should read up on stories like these first before jumping to conclusions. Supposedly the officer had already asked the man to turn around several times. The fact that the guy couldn't comply to a simple order like that is a tad concerning because if he's really that handicapped then why is he allowed to be alone without the company of a caregiver? The officer did the right thing by tasing him IMO (mind you I'm no expert on how damaging taser guns can be to the human body) but because the officer had no no idea whether or not the man was dangerous and had no other means of making the man obey without putting himself in a dangerous position (i.e. physically subduing him), I suppose he didn't really have a choice.

The real disappointment to humanity in the video is the dipshit cameraman who actually knows what's going on and instead of explaining to the officer about the man's condition, films the event for personal benefit at the expense of the handicap ("HURR I HOPE HE GETS TASED, IT'S GOING ON YOUTUBE").

I agree if that is the case. It was really unfortunate for him to get tazed but it was the only way to subdue him since talking didn't work at first. The mentally handicapped man seems he CAN follow instructions since he did after being tazed. And I am sure he was scared when the officer pointed the tazer at him, not knowing what to do from panic or fear.
