I haven't played Reach in a few months and suddenly got the urge this Monday, and as I decided to play; I decided I may as well get the Defiant Map Pack. Downloaded it Monday night, internet capped on Tuesday so I only went to play it now. Paid for it, it downloaded and it's not working. The game itself doesn't seem to register that the content has been downloaded. I've downloaded it again; nothing. I've gone into the dashboard and deleted it off the hard drive and then downloaded it again to no avail. When I go into Matchmaking it says "player doesn't have the recommended DLC". When I go into custom games/forge, the maps are listed but when I select them it takes me into the guide prompting me to download the DLC. I don't know what else there is I can do to try and get this working. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Have you ever had another, older Xbox? Because Windows Live may have licensed your old Xbox to get the downloads, therefore showing up, but not being available to use because they are not licensed to your new Xbox. Transferring Content Licenses to a New Console - Xbox.com If that's not your issue, i don't know what it is.
i remmeber this happening to me on the day it was realesed... there is a solusion which bungie put a post up about cant remember of the top of my head i'll have a look and see if i can find it ok its about half way down the page under the heading Defiant Map Pack FAQ: CLICK HERE Hope this helps
Fairly certain that would be a non-issue. I got a new 360 over two years ago. Actually, yeah that help a lot. It says that the game is only able to recognise 3 content items on the HD. So I have to delete my Bungie Pro Membership to be able to use the defiant map pack.
Yeah, apparently they're working on it but for the time being I'll have to delete my Bungie Pro Membership, it doesn't end it, I can just re-download it onto the xbox later. So I'll have 3 content items in the two map packs plus the armor that came with the pre-order.
