For multiplayer, An automatic weapon that cant score headshots with a scope. Basically, ODST's SMG. For single player, Metroid Prime mixed with Halo.

Forerunner styled mulitplayer maps No armor abilities New enemies ( Most likely will appear) Choice between players' races Really awesome vehicular firefight maps (at least one) Non- bouncy warthog Longer campaign than reach's Flexibility in forge ... And a lot more...
I suppose Battlefield is more akin to games like Team Fortress, where not everyone plays the same role. Medics aren't exactly there to score kills or cap objectives. In games where everyone is essentially the same class, only with different "loadouts", my statement remains valid.
About the forge pieces, I beg to differ. We have more detailed forge pieces now, which are just proving to be more problematic than they're worth. For instance, those small railings don't need lights on the side. If they made everything a little more plain, but gave us a lot more objects, I'd be happy.
The brutes to be more like they were in ODST. The teal sights back on the shotgun. Armor abilities to be pickups if they must be in the game. More covenant or forerunner themed ****. UNSC maps were boring in Reach. Better maps. Like the previous games. Options to make the enemies legitimately Random in Firefight. A playlist where loadouts and **** don't exist. Guardian. Even more customization for your spartan. The same armory system, only not linked to rank. Detail stripes for armor back. Forge that doesn't have pieces shifting after saving. Less textured **** so forge maps don't lag. No default maps that were forged. Regular warthog on firefight maps. Lost Platoon and Chasm Ten firefight map remakes. Headlong. VIP. Vehicles that don't die from simple DMR fire. Engineers that require plasma shots to die. It created more interesting gameplay. A more open world in campaign. Sick of point A to point B with scripted events. Night levels like ODST and Nightfall. Silenced SMG from ODST. Toned down Battle Rifle. No more super weapon. No more silly armor effects.

I mostly remember us playing a game with super-tracking needlers - you could fire at somebody flying by in a ghost and the needles would make crazy-sharp turns and just run them down no matter how hard they tried to get away.

I'd quite like to see Brutes/Grunts/Hunters being made playable, both for versus firefight and for zombie variants. Imagine spartan humans vs. grunt zombies, or better still hunter zombies. Or Warthog zombies that come alive at night and kill people, like in that Stephen King story, Cars 2.
I knew they wouldn't let the fans down. Something I'd actually genuinely like to see in Halo 4 is underwater gameplay. No joke I think it could be really cool if done right, especially for multiplayer. Think of Well from Team Fortress 2, with the alternate routes underwater.
This can be achieved on Reach if done correctly. I'm actually making an underwater route in a map I'm working on.
Shoulder armor pieces that don't look like they're velcro'd or slapped onto the outside of your armor like a Lee Press-On... but actually integrated into it and positioned well.
