Let me clarify: I don't get mad at being called a hipster but rather the unoriginality that comes behind the insult. I would much rather be called something a little bit more relevant.

why upgrade from sl to lion, just curious?

Future comparability is the only real reason to upgrade. I would rather use Snow Leapord if programs I used didn't require Lion for the latest version. I do like having an encrypted backup though.
