Co-Forge with AvailableMoth and Marcass2021

    An AvailableMoth and Marcass2021 Forge
    STORY TIME!
    Once upon a time AvailableMoth started a forge .He was fooling around with Ideas in his epic Man brain, when a forging wizard named Marcass2021 approached him. "hey what are you forging there?" says Marcass. "O nothing, just fooling around with this idea i have in my man mind." replied Moth. The two began collaberating on some Ideas. "Hey what do you think of this layout?" Said the Forging Wizard Marcass. "That looks sick" replied Manly Man Moth. "we should add in another access route right here, and raise this area a little bit, and what do you think of a horse shoe for a middle?" asked the Bursting with power and charisma Moth. Marcass took a moment and pondered in his chaotic yet dazling magic head. "this would make an epic layout as a horse shoe we could add a lift that takes you from the bottom across the Chasm of death." When all of a sudden a beast Entered the Forging Space. "Muahaha my name is CareerGK117 the Evil Forging Demon that is here to distract you for 2 hours with perilous Tricks and Death Defying Falls". The Macho Man and Wizard were defensless in this attack from the darkness, and got trapped in a time consuming endeavor. The Demon finally was banished from the forge world and the Two brains of power and wisdom continued on with their map.
    "I was thinking that my mystical and powerful Cone of Awesome could fit well into this area of the map across from this window". Stunningly Ripped Muscle Man Moth replied, "that would make a good addition to that room, I was also thinking that my dangerous Rock wall of Death could go in this room". After 8 hours of Collaberating on a map of epic proportions, the Pure awesome Man Moth and incredibly handsome Wizard had put together the first version of their map named "ERROR NAME NOT FOUND", and immediatly began testing. After weeks of preperation and tweeking the map was almost complete, just missing one thing. The Advise of the Community that The Godly Man and Wizard require before The Finishing touches are added. The End.
    We are in search of a great name to be paired with this map, please in the comment thread shoot some ideas towards Moth and I.

    Two Lifts carry you from the bottom of the map to the middle, then the top. Over a large chasm that brings death to those who enter.

    Blue Team Spawns in the North East Corner, Next to The Pit

    Red Team Spawns next to the pattented "AvailableMoth Rock Wall", in the south west corner.

    This is the Highpoint of the map a possible 5 points of entry cause a large amount of chaos in this room.

    Directly out of Blue Spawn you enter this room with 6 points of entry, with a long hallway down to Mid lift. This room also contains the Marcass2021 Signature Cone.

    The Pit, connects Blue Spawn to Mid Lift, and has a route that leads to Bottom Mid. A grav lift takes you from the bottom of the pit to the top.


    Again please give us any ideas you may have on a name for this map. If you would like to be a part of the continued testing of this map please message AvailableMoth or Marcass2021.

    Very Nice looking map you got here. Can't wait to play it. What gametypes does it support beside Slayer.

    Despite my hatred for death pits (I always find a way to fall into them at least twice in every map that has them), my experience on this map has been very enjoyable.

    Game-play leaned toward both teams often work to hold down the top area seen in the 4th picture, with the railings being used quite effectively as LoS breakers, while still allowing you to pop a few shots or a nade through, preventing anyone from camping. There were plenty of ways up to this area, leading to many struggles for this dominant position while not allowing to to be too easy.

    The aesthetics are simple and clean, which is more to my taste than complex center structures. The lift design is nice as well. I know I could give you more constructive feedback on actually improving the map, but I think I'd need to play it a few more times to know for sure.

    I definitely liked the looks of this when Moth showed me around in forge the other day. Hopefully I'll be able to get some games on here soon. Those grav-lifts look pretty cool by the way. I can't really give any other feedback until I actually play the map.

    Just some grammar/spelling errors.

    This is a great map for a horseshoe-style, which I find very difficult to do. I do still suggest opening up the raling "chain rails" because of how thin the slots are. Other than that, great map!

    I really like the way this map looks, clean and open. Interesting choice of color by the way most maps stay away from purple, but I think it looks really nice in this map.
    So you asked for an idea for a name, well taking the purple color scheme and the death pit my suggestion would be Violet Falls. I would enjoy getting a game on this map so if you ever need an extra tester feel free to invite me.

    I remember moth showing me this about 3 weeks ago, it was looking good then, I'm just wondering what improvements you made. Weapon placement was the only issue I could find, besides some minor issues which you probably fixed. I can't test this with you since my freshman year just started and I have all AP/honors classes, plus JROTC so I'll be really busy.

    wait, are you saying that we should just delete the railings in those gaps? trying to follow your train of thought, not sure what you mean by "chain rails." Anyways, if that is what you are talking about, then I have considered that. I just don't want people to fall off the map is all.

    He means widening the railing pieces you have up top acting as sort of "jail bars" to break up LoS. You could probably do that and still prevent people from walking inbetween them.

    ahh...ok thanks for the clarification. Well, the problem with that is, that Spartans must be somehow related to the cat family, because they can fit through very small gaps. As of right now the gaps are as wide as they can be to keep someone from fitting through. Is there any reason why you feel that they should be wider?

    And I thought I was a grammar ****. You really took the time to point out ALL of his mistakes? ;)

    Well, this map is definitely fun and very creative. My favorite feature about the map is the rock wall. I love rocks. I also think that the grav-lifts work perfectly and I have to agree with Frozen about the death pit- I never really fall into it.

    Looking forward to more testing.

    A lot of stuff on this map felt very close and heightened to help out 2v2 but still play some of the team games. Mancannons were nice and so were the railings used as support beams in the grass and rocks. Why are your maps always good with infection?

    Get me in a test on this sometime, from the pictures I like it. Also, funny story you put in there, the evil demon made me laugh.

    This was definitely a good map. I had a lot of fun playing it. Larger parties were so much better though.

    anyhow, if had any patience to forge, I had intended to do a map with a similar idea. I loved it in Timesplitters and love it now. Looks great guys.

    Kind of a generic name, but could work. Also, is this similar to a level in timesplitters, because I have never played that game. Anyways, if anyone else has any map names we could really use it!

    Name it Brock. Then our maps combined will be "Brock Samson"...you know, like from Venture Bros.

    ha fail. bert... anyway editing is almost done for this map, we are putting some small framerate fixes in before we call it finished. but we are still in search of a great name for this map. spit out as many names as you can think of.. you never know what moth and i might actually think is a good name, until you suggest it.
