I know kind of what you mean, everybody want's to sound different. Buy a keyboard? I'm trying to get one to create synth stuff for music.
I have a keyboard, I'm not great at piano though. I bought a KORG microSAMPLER to sample, vocode, and have an effects processor. I also have a Roland Keyboard but there's nothing that special about it. Both of which, I don't use too often. If I'm working on something new (that's not on guitar), I'll usually play it on guitar, write out the notes and draw out the midi into into Ableton Live. I have very limited recording gear too. Haha.
furry, just practice, a lot. youll get to grips with what you have already and you'll fugure something out from them. ive got a korg nanopad but i havent used it much because i want a midi keyboard with solid keys and cant find my current's adaptor
The one I currently use would take approximately 15 thousand years. The one I used about 5 years ago would have taken 138 million years.
I ****ing love the nanoPad, it's absolutely amazing for live performance. Not so much for recording. It's a great tool for trying to find an idea though. Honestly though, if you're not into piano and are making electronic music, my first suggestion would to just use a computer keyboard. If that's not good enough for you, then I'd suggest the KORG Nanoseries2, all of those controllers are a quality buy. Don't even bother recording MIDI with any other MIDI keyboard unless there's playback buttons on it like the Akai ones. Otherwise, your timing will be forever off.
I think we should do a PPC song. We plan out generally where we want it to go, then one member records part, say, the drums, then sends it to the next member who records the guitar, etc, etc.
