A Perfect Cowboy Hi, this is the prewiew of my map, remake of the mission "Halo", where you must protect the Marines from the Covenant attacks on the Forerunner Tower. This isn't the final version...
Looks pretty sweet but it looks like you have used a lot of pieces, ergo budget, just to make this one building. Make sure you have enough left to complete the rest of the map. I'm guessing this will be a large map, possibly BTB?
Well, the image don't show the other part of the map that is near the cave. In the final version i already put some coliseum walls behind the tower, unfortunately the map isn't all the Canyon. The final version will be large and adapted for 6v6 max.
Invasion perhaps? To recreate the mission? But yeah, that is quite a bit of budget. Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't look as smooth as it could be. B that I mean you probably would've been better off using the same object to construct larger portions, instead of objects of different color and texture
Well, you're right. I choose some specific object to remake the tower, but the lag in the map is limited and this appear only in two zone... btw yes, it will be for Invasion, too. In the final version i will try to reduce the lag and improve the gameplay for a better quality.
I completely agree there. Despite getting all the shapes perfect, the texture of the tower looks terrible. If you're going to make anything like this it needs to look much cleaner.
You don't want to just cram forge pieces into shapes. It's better to really think about what pieces would efficiently create the design you want while still maintaining the same texture. With some creative piece use and thought, you could easily do this in half the budget.
Infact i don't want to create shapes with the first pieces that i see. The objective is to create the best design for the map using the pieces that are more similar to the true tower of Halo: CE within the limits of the budget, for example the platform where you can walk, i decide to use much more object rather than the 4x4 low block
