I hear a lot of people say this, and I don't mean to be a naysayer, but in almost 60,000 kills (across 2 GTs) since Reach was released, I've accidentally assassinated <10 times.

    Hmmm. I take that back.
I have probably done that by accident <20 times, out of 50 thousand-ish.

Slightly off topic, why do you have 2 GTs?

Alright so I was playing in the MLG playlist (im not a pro i just like a tougher competition) and some idiot on our team kept commiting suicide and he finished with -33. Safe to say we got killed 50-1.

I just end up no scoping them in the face and swear at him for a few seconds, then continue doing my sniping.

They will either leave me alone or quit the game after that.

To be brutally honest, People who care about there K/D ratio.(Especially during objective games) and think there good because of there K/D even when they lost.

Its a stat there's 1000's of stats why do so many people think there K/D is the most important stat even more important there W/L. It just doesn't make sense to me.

Your playing a game of CTF which the objective is to capture a flag, The point of this game is to capture a flag and you win when you capture the flag.
So you start a game of CTF then decide to snipe people who are actually playing the game and are trying to capture the flag because there easy targets for your K/D(sure that helps but it could help more if you where sniping with the goal of protecting the flag, not the goal of getting the best K/D).
You lose because you weren't much help but you hid in a corner with a sniper and got a 20-0 K/D and your happy with that. You lost! Your flag was captured in a capture the flag game the whole game which is centered around capturing a flag you barely assisted in capturing a flag YOU should not feel proud of that.

Losing all of your games means you are rubbish at playing the game! I don't care if your Kill/death is 10000/1 or your wraith splatters/beatdowns is 14012/3 or your Plasmasticks/assistsprees is 5/10000, I don't care about your stats, If you can't win you are crap at the game, (Sure you might win games but you would never lose if you weren't so worried about your stats.)

By the way not talking to casual gamers because K/D is a fun way for casual gamers to compared who did better on there team that game.

I'll yoink if you deserve it.

If you go for the animation in:
    Swat
    Living Dead
    Grifball
    Rumble Pit

I will yoink you each and every time. Seriously, why the hell don't you tap B once if you want the kill so badly.

    Apart from that, assassinate away.

This thread is still alive? Seriously?

There's nothing else to discuss that hasn't already been done in the previous 24 pages. This thread has fulfilled its purpose and at this point, may as well be locked.

This thread is fulfilling no less of a purpose than it was when it was started. Whether it served a purpose back then is another issue, but it's done no harm thus far if you ask me.

In my party yesterday, we were playing assault on hemorrhage. The other team didn't even try for the first five minutes. Instead they got all the power weapons they could, (somehow getting our shotgun) and camped at their base. No offense, just 2 shotty whores in the base, a sniper out back, and rockets lingering around. We ended up beating them, but they pissed us off for while.

    Playing Hemorrhage was your mistake.

Top mid in certain gametypes (I'd guess symm objective only), pretty sure it's always been like that but not sure. The middle of the map is such a deathtrap that people rarely go there in my experience.

Maybe it's just for pro gametypes, where covy weapons are replaced by human ones.

I personally steer clear of Hemorrage. IMO, it is a horrible map. Because of sniper-whores camping, general camping in the bases and spawn killing with the Wraith gameplay is very poor and usually dry. Players have to wander halfway across the canyon for some action, only to be sniped by a guy:
    A) Camping in the rocks behind the beach base
    B) Camping by the forged rock formations
    C) Sniping on top of a base
    D) Camping in a rock cluster left of the 'cave side' base

That's why a shitload of vehicles are on the map for both bases. If you don't want to get killed easily, use a vehicle or stay at your base and defend. Usually enemy snipers don't go past the halfway line of the canyon into enemy territory, instead they camp in and around their base. The Majority of the players aren't good enough snipers to hit targets going at such a speed (in a vehicle) with such of a short window to shoot. However, the easier targets (people walking/AFC/camping) get picked off first because they are easier targets, which is why not many people wander around in Hemmorhage. In short, if you don't want to get sniped as easily, stay in a vehicle as much as possible or defend your base. Also, if you want to walk, then use cover. That's why it's there. Also, use the teleporters.

With the Wraiths, if you get close enough, they are quite easy to take down. Also, some sniper rounds can take it out or give it a hell of a lot of damage. I find general camping in the bases quite easy to counter, unless they have some kind of power weapon, like a shotgun, because the damage engine is not any way similar to other camp-friendly games like MoH and CoD. With quick thinking, I have taken down two campers at once, by myself.

Try studying the map more to get your edge.

Mack, I know how to play halo. The fact of the matter is that hemorrhage isnt a good map. I played a game of Neutral bomb earlier on today on there. We had 7 guys on the enemy team camping in their bomb room with sniper, shotty and their fists. The funny thing is, they lead the game to a 0-0 tie by doing that. They were pretty much invincible. If that isn't poor map design, I don't know what is.

A good map shouldn't have that many exploitations.

Also, get off your high horse, you're not good.

I actually like Hemorrage for the simple fact that I can get insanely highly KD Speads by camping with sniper in the middle of the map and sniping the other team off their spawn.

This is just poor map design, not Berb's "lack of knowledge" of the map.

The biggest d-bags I encountered in MM today were some kids in a BTB team snipers game. In the meta-game prior, they voted for another map (renegade - my least favorite map in the history of the universe). So, they decide to instantaneously quit when the game starts. The 8v8 turned into a 4v8 in seconds. Fortunately, my 7 teammates had no mercy.
