Gallant and I have been through a lot together. It all started as a map for this 1v1 tournament a few friends and I were going to have. I had been drawing the map out differently for a full month and had finally decided I had an area that I liked. At that point in time I was obsessed with Nexn’s map, Sequence, so I wanted to forge the map in the Coliseum, death pits and all. I started on it, but then Nexn came out with Luca and all of it’s grassiness. I decided at that point I wanted the death pits area to be a playable area with grass as the flooring. I then moved the map up to the Quarry and almost finished it, but one thing got in the way. Budget. I got so frustrated with the map that I gave the design to Longshot. He had slowly started to quit gaming, and by the time he adopted Gallant, he had almost quit entirely. The design was back in my hands again. This time, I was determined. I built the map above Forge World, re-exploring the possibility of have death pits. After I gave up on that, I tried the island. Then in the Canyon. And then, finally, I tried a different area in the Canyon where Gallant stands today. Is there anyway you could post a overview or a shot of the center of the map itself? Im unable to really see how open the map itself is. Its look pretty hot, definately seems you added alot of details on the walls and roof, thats one thing I miss now that I've started to work on bigger projects cant add the detail like this sometimes . Thank you. And all I did for the title image is greyscale and blur everything but the crate and the people. I dunno. I can agree with everything in this post except you raping me. That never happens. lol And yes, yes you can. Was that dissing my photos? Uhhh, yea. Next time I get on I will. The center is extremely open, which is what I wanted actually. Lol, that failed. Anyways, another great map from you Erupt. You already know how I feel about the repetitiveness between all your maps, but whatever. I want to play this soon. By the way, you should probably get around to actually releasing a map sometime.
Like I said, I dunno if I like the rock tunnel area. You can get trapped down there really easily. Aside from that, I do love this map. It's got such a lovely look to it, and the layout has some nice unique aspects to it. Good job with this one.
I downloaded this off of your fileshare a few days ago and had a run-through. I loved the design and the fact that it was a bit cramped, but in a good way. Anyways, I'd like to play on this sometime, so hit me up.
lol. It was all done on the piece of crap Photobucket Image Editor. And yes, it is. Thaaaank you. lol, it reminds me a lot of... That one map in the Coliseum... and the one above FW... and in the Quarry. This is like the only map I've been working on for the past few months. Rocks are the only way to pull that area off. I'm out of everything else, I believe. I can try to change it up back there, but I dunno what else I could do. Not like changing it to a normal incline would be that helpful, would it? Idk I guess. Anyways, thanks man. Thannnkss. I tried to make the outer areas a bit more cramped because of how opnen the center room is. So if you were in the same cramped area... Close quarters battle. But then you can still fight from one cramped side area to another through the center... Long range battle. I think it worked fairly well. And will do.
