that reminds me, I found out that you can move fence with sticky pistons. Probly not much of a secret, but it makes for some cool entries using pistons. Ones that could make an even stronger Roman Colosseum vibe Of course if that was done, the mob rooms would have to be adjacent to the arena room. Have the gates open and release the mobs, then have a battle royale.
i never tried that. I was playing my friend's minecraft and tried to move a chest out of a wall because i was making a dungeon map and it didn't work. The next chance i get, i will test it out. He has spawning mods so it will be easy to test. [br][/br]Edited by merge: If you make a room 30x30 and put the roof up to 15, then creatures will randomly spawn in it even if you are there. I done it in my dungeon and it worked. I tried it with a ghast in there but to be honest, ghasts scare the **** out of me.
Exactly! I might just have to re-purpose my string farm... Also, your mention of pistons moving fences has giving me another idea. My castle will be that much more EPIC now.
Speaking of mob versus player arenas, I was going to make one on the GoO server until Dev said that he wouldn't place mob spawners. ...And **** building an arena around a pre-existing mob spawner, you'd need to have at least four (maybe more) just to have fun.
I tried making a large underground trap with 3 mod spawners and they stopped spawning after like 12 mobs. I'm pretty sure Notch stopped any form of traps or mod-gathering which kinda sucks.
fix'd Yeah, I saw that on G+. It will be interesting to see what they do with their block carrying (and I'm assuming picking up and placing) abilities.
I'm pretty sure I saw something saying that they are called "Endermen" it was on the minecraft forum somewhere I know.
Bisquit has a mine that he might be selling to someone that has 2 or three mob spawners right next to each other. Of course there are like 15 in the one mineshaft....
He can place them, technically, they just default to pig spawners and require fiddling to change the spawner type.
When close to the Endermen there should definitely be some static or something messing up your vision.
Oh ****, wow, you're right. I meant shouldn't. I have no idea why I wrote couldn't. You should definitely keep using the Inception joke. It's really funny.
If they're not a common NPC, sure. For instance, if they're the NPC's that are going to be populating the villages, then something like that would get incredibly annoying after a while. Otherwise, hell yeah.
