The things you miss from Halo 3

    You made a one-line post that a few people have already mentioned. How exactly are you contributing?

    If you really consider my opinion not to be a contribution to this thread, then you aren't very good at trolling. I would list Construct and The Pit, but they have some accurate enough remakes to the point where I don't miss them; Not to mention that you can just load up Halo 3 right now almost exactly how you remember it. Halo 3 had far more negatives than positives and I fail to see how anyone would miss more than a handful of things from it. The BR was a horrible weapon that had more randomness than the bloom on the DMR thanks to spread, most of the maps were average at best, the button combos were a joke, the community was almost as bad as Reach is now, equipment had little to no use being in the game, the netcode was horrible, forge took forever to make a map on and the controls were weak (an opinion I held even before hearing about the improvements that Forge 2.0 would bring), matchmaking was nearly unplayable due to campers and derankers being everywhere, theater didn't even have rewind, matches took a long time to find even before Reach, and because of all these problems comes another negative; the game just wasn't fun.

    Reach somehow managed to be worse than Halo 3 even with many changes. I don't know how it did it. Forge and customs are both better in Reach, though.

    I know they left all brute weapons out because Reach is set prior to the Brutes taking over the Covenant forces but seriously a lot of the Brute weapons (fire grenades, spike grenades, brute shot) were some of my favorites. Reach is very Elite based which is ok I suppose. The elites don't seem as terrifying as Halo 2 and 3 thou IMHO.

    Chopper was also my favorite vehicle. I would love to build a Chopper Race in Forge world.

    Battletracks, VIP, Foundry, Sandbox & Sandtrap, Four-shotting kids online, and racing on awesome tracks which I never could of build online in Halo 3 in forge compared to Reach now these days lol
     
  4. I miss the BR, Shield Leech and Shield Decay, and the Player Model. IMO, the Player Model looked much more slim than Reach and overall cooler looking. But, then again, Reach took place before Halo 3.

    But anyway, I really miss sandbox forge. It had such a better atmosphere than forgeworld. Plus the objects were much less textured, which was really nice. Forge World just isn't the same :(

    Duel Wield SMGs. 'nuff said.

    But seriously, I miss duel wielding, the abilities like degen and regen, etc. But I guess Armor Abilities makes up for it. I also miss the Battle Rifle, but I wouldn't if you could change the fire rate on the DMR. Halo Waypoint confirms that the DMR has a full auto setting. If you zoom in on the DMR, you can see that the DMR is set to Single shot, not full auto.

    am I the only one that doesn't miss the BR? I love the DMR, always hated the BR, I think its a vast improvement. Maybe its just me.

    The DMR is the single shot version of the BR, with half the clip. More like a step down. If you could set the DMR to full auto I'd like the DMR alot more.
