So, I'm working on a map right now set on the island. Basically a cross of Avalanche and Containment. There's a thread on here somewhere about it... Anyway, I'm sure everyone who's forged on the island will know where I'm talking about when I say the gap with the creek running through it on the island's beach side? The map needs a bridge there, but if at all possible, I'd like to make it a light bridge, similar to the ones you see in campaign (second mission on Halo 1, where it starts outside, then you go through a tunnel and you have to turn on a light bridge to progress.) The one way shield doors are too bouncy for this, and none of the glass will make a blue shield door more visible like the metal parts do. Is there any way i can make a good looking shield door that won't affect gameplay? I was thinking, if there was a glitch to make an object become invisible, but the collision was still there, that might work. If anyone could help me out, it'd be much appreciated. P.S. The bridge has to span that gap and be 4 little blocks wide, and a tank has to be able to drive comfortably underneath.
The invisible object glitch only works on certain areas of Forgeworld I believe. If it does work though that would be awesome cos then you can just place an aesthetic shield door where the invisible of is and it would look legit.
After I found out that glitch, that ^^^ was the first thing I was planning on doing. Haha. But yeah, I suggest attempting this. A light bridge out of shield dorrs would be great.

That's alright. aesthetics aren't everything. a normal bridge will function just fine. I don't think you should advertise the map thread in here though i seen it earlier, looks nice. Good luck on your future versions.
i think there is a way to make a light bridge with the one-way doors. Say you put a one-way door facing down and a one-way door facing up about one or to clicks below it making it try to push you up and down or would that affect the gameplay?
I have never tried this but, make the orange part of the one way shield on the same plane as the blue side of another one, make the z-fight. I haven't tried this but i thought it might work, you have to make the blue cancel out the orange and vice versa.
