Im positive I like comedies :p. Like I said, there were a few funny bits in it. Mainly the parts with Chris O'Dowd, but thats probably because I love IT Crowd. But I seriously didnt find a lot of the movie funny at all.

Also, I remember the other movie I saw; Super 8. Pretty decent movie, if not more of the same you've already seen a hundred times before. But its still a good movie, go see it. na0w!

Thor, X-Men First Class, Transformers 3 were all great films.

The Green Lanturn I'd say was okay, never really knew too much going into
it but as a movie goer it was worth it.

The Hangover 2, while it was absolutely hysterical, was wildly predictable.
If you're a fan of the first, especially Galifianakis' character, you'll enjoy it.

Bad Teacher was alright. Nothing too great there, funny as hell I suppose,
and you get to see Cameron Diaz wash a car in daisy dukes and slowmo.
    That's always a plus.

Dunkin, do you work at a theater? Sounds like it. Man, I miss getting to see everything I wanted, with a guest, for frizzle. First Class was indeed awesome. I recommend Hanna to anyone looking for a solid action flick that's not a hollywood big budget blockbuster type of deal.

Oh, I also saw Your Highness. I know it came out pretty much everywhere else like a year ago, but it only came out in Australia in April just gone. That was ok, had some very funny moments in it, but other parts were just a bit boring. Probably worth waiting til DVD/Blu-ray for this one.

Going to see Transformers 3D in about 10 minutes. Not a massive fan of 3D movies, but apparently, its 3D is better than Avatars. Havent seen Avatar in 3D, but if James Cameron says it better than his own movies', then its worth seeing, no?

    3D just isn't good, regardless.

The more I think about it, the more I realise I don't like the Hangover 2. While it had the same formula, there were a lot of things just done worse. I realised once the movie had finished that I had barely laughed. The humour was all shock value.
-I hate Ken Jeong, I don't find any of his stuff funny and he was a huge part of the this one.
-Alan was a dickhead in this one. No where nearly as funny or quotable as he was in the first one.
-And the ending was just silly with the kid and his dad.

3D can be good if the movie is filmed in 3D. A lot of movies are filmed regularly and then made 3D, like The Green Lantern, which ruins the 3D-ness of it.

I honestly recommend that everyone in this thread (and possible all of your friends) go watch Super-8. It's a wonderfully crafted movie, full of suspense, humor, heart warming moments, and an awkward but adorable romance.

Plus, I nostalgia-ed so hard for a childhood full of black and white tv, stoners, and kick-ass hair band music.

No, it's just not good either way. It's unnecessary. Plus it severely downgrades the quality of the image.
I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides in 3D and I wasn't wearing my glasses for the majority of the movie.

Like I said before, Im not a fan of 3D. But I thought seeing Transformers in 3D would be worth my time. It was pretty decent. It still hasnt changed my opinions about 3D; I still think its a superfluous money-making device, and I prefer to see movies in 2D, but it was decent, none the less. I will likely end up buying an LED TV with optional 3D capabilities at one point or another, but only because its an LED, not because of the 3D.

Getting back on track, Transformers 3 was awesome. It was waaaaaaaaay better than the second movie (though I still liked TF2), in terms of story, character development and pacing. It still followed the Michael Bay formula of filming (scantily-clad babe, lots of explosions, and Shia LeBeouf shouting "OPTIMUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUS" for no apparent reason), but it had a better quality about it. Plus, Leonard Nimoy. Its not the best movie ever made, but its still enjoyable, and you can just sit back, relax and turn your brain off while the pretty girls be pretty and bang-bangs go boom. 8/10

exactly, when you add the 3D after filming its just a cheap trick that doesnt look good. Thats why avatar and other films look so good by comparison...

but the masses just want 3D bc its supposed to be the 'new thing' so they do it cheaply and make a killing off of it, lol

I just saw Super 8 today. I went in with expectations pretty much in the middle. I enjoy JJ Abrams' movies, but I don't hold them in high regard. I love Cloverfield but I wouldn't nominate it for an academy award. I also expected the movie to be a total mind****. All in all I enjoyed it. The special effects were amazing and the train explosion was very cool. The main problem I had was that there were to many sentimental moments, and they just seemed to get in the way. Also it seemed weird to me that the air force would be the branch of military to be dealing with this, and they weren't even using planes.
    I give it a B-.

Im guessing its because it was an incident involving a space-faring alien, and said alien used a ship to enter earths atmosphere. Basically, its in the air. Air-Force deal with matters of the air, Army with the land, and Navy the sea. :)

Also, I rented Unknown and Adjustment Bureau recently. Both decent movies, but I enjoyed Unknown more. Liam Neesons acting is getting a little stiff in his older years, but he's still kicking some ass. Adjustment Bureau was also cool (Emily Blunt... *drools*), but the story was a little lame. Premise was interesting, but I dont think it was utilized to its full potential. I give Unknown 8/10 and AB 6/10.

Our military isn't that smart. I would say that if something like this happened in real life, the FBI would be in charge with assistance from the National Guard, not the Air Force.
