So I recently made a large dome using a map that had around 500 of the large walls already on the map (I used 332 of them) here is a pic, and another question is, was this overload of walls a result of a mod or a glitch, and do I risk getting banned if I put it on my file share. As I would love to share this but don't want to risk it if I could get banned. The original creator of the wall overload has over 4,000 downloads and still hasn't been banned, so I am assuming bungie doesn't care about this too much. What do you guys think?

Damn, that does look sick. Unfortunately, it isn't allowed- not even here, you might get infracted for posting this.

so it is indeed a mod and not a glitch that forgers use? dang, that sucks. Hopefully someone will find a way to "legitly" overload the number of a specific object you can use, like in halo 3.

People have made threads about this before and it has not been confirmed as a glitch (ie. there is no known way to replicate it which is really the only way to prove it's not a mod) however, 343 will likely be more relaxed about these things since from what I've heard microsoft is becoming more mod friendly.

    The map looks awesome.

It is a mod. You can put it on your fileshare and you won't get fileshare banned, and modded content isn't allowed on Forgehub.

The map with 505 Coliseum Walls is, as others have said, a mod. However, I know of at least one case in which an (apparently very specific) instance of lag caused persistent duplication of all Structure objects that had been placed.

That wasn't the case in Halo 3. Has Bungie of 343 made an official change to the rules or ToS?

Why was Microsoft/Bungie against mods to begin with? Was it because if they let one mod go free then they have to let the other ones also? Or is there a technical reason? I mean, can this type of map produce technical problems in MM?

So far as I can understand, it wouldn't.

In terms of gameplay, I can't see the Coli Wall, Vehicle Bay, or rock mods having an impact (besides probable discoing and frame rate). I have heard of a way-too-freaking-many-lights mod that has the potential to lag your 360 until it bursts into flame, however.

I doubt that, didn't the most recent update stop many modded xbox's from working, and also those that were fixed by an outside company which may have registered them as being modded?

Technically you should be able to post it. We are affiliates with Bungie, not 343i, who own the game. Am I right?
