So I am working on a very loved map of mine, something I hope will become good enough to share with you all, and it requires four two-way teleporters, two on alpha channel, two on bravo channel. When I enter the teleporters I come out the other side just fine, but for some reason, and here is the issue, my spartan stalls before he is able to go back into a walk. Its like a force is pushing me backwards and quickly releases me a second later. Im not sure why this is happening, but it is and I have seen it in my maps before. The teleporters are on teleporter frames, if that changes anything, which it shouldn't.

Any tips to fix the issue would be wonderful. I would provide a video of the occurrence, but I dont have the ability to record, so my best is explanation here, or to bring someone into forge with me to show them. Not much else I can do though and I have tried a few ways that I thought would fix it- none worked. So please, help make my teleporters not be so bad and tell me what is wrong if you can.

The thing is, you keep moving in the direction you were moving when you entered one of them, but the direction you're aiming will change to the way the receiver end is angled. It'll just take some rotating of all of the teleporters until you get the combination right.

Ah, inertia! That explains it! Thank you Broccoli, thats makes sense, I am surprised I hadnt thought of that before. Okay, Ill have to mess with their rotations a bit next time Im forging, the big issue is that the directions are 180 degrees different, complete turn-around.

Yeah, when you're working with two-ways it gets a bit tricky.

I can understand when you say the orientation of the teleporter will affect the orientation (aim) of your person. But do you mean that if you are traveling north you will continue to have a northern momentum at the other teleporter?

simple fix. the teleporters must be rotated. right now, they are acting as if you are coming through backwards. just spin them and it'll correct itself.

So what do you do when your map needs a northerly direction turn east or south at the other end? You are suggesting that the receiving teleporter must always be orientated in the same direction as the sending teleporter. That seems very limiting.

That's Bungie for ya. But it doesn't really matter if you lose your speed for a second.
