    Ancient forerunners walled off this cove to preserve its natuaral beauty. 8-16
    Big Bro Slayer recommended,

    Inspired by all the maps utilizing natural geometry, I tried to make a BTB map in the canyon at first, to no avail. So I set out for another canvas. I started forging in the gorge between montana and alaska, montana, Pinnacle, the quarry, until I found the cove in the back of the island.

    Making this map was an adventure, just as the rest of my maps are. In fact, ive decided that when making maps become boring and dull, I will just stop. Making this map was different because I formed the outer boundary before I actually started the real map.

    Finishing this map yesterday had a great feeling attached to it, I wanted to release this long ago, but I wanted to make sure it was really as good as it could be, so I continued to test it, though I could never get a full 8v8 party, I have been repeatedly told this would be great for a BTB match.

    10xDMR, 5 for each base.
    2xNeedle Rifle,
    2xNeedler
    2xPlasma Repeater
    3x Plasma Pistol, 2 for red, 1 for blue
    2xSniper Rifle, 120sec, 2 clips
    2xShotgun, 105sec, 2 clips
    1xGrenade Launcher, 120sec, 6 shots
    1xRocket Launcher, 150sec, 2 clips
    1x Overshield, 150sec

    Cove has been set up for all gametypes including Chess and Bro Slayer, sacrificing, Invasion, Invasion Slayer, and Race.

    FAQ:

    Q: How many coliseum walls did you use? Is that a mod?
    A: While there are more than fifty, it was not a mod. I used Jordan's Glitched Canvas for all of these walls. I believe he lagged out of Xbox Live

    Q: Wouldnt all of those walls cause some major frame-rate?
    A: In truth, I dont believe anyone has had any problems with framerate.

    Very nice equinox! I remember when you showed me this and i thought it was really cool. It reminded me of Jackal Creek, which was also an amazing map. From what i remember, i believe the ghost used to spawn in that tunnel, but im glad you changed it to a grenade launcher, that seemed like the better choice. i love the designs of both bases, theyre purty sexy, and i also am liking the change you made with the artificial island thing. it used to be all spirally and stuff and i thought it looked a bit weird. Testing earlier today was pretty fun and i defenitley would like to play on it in the future. Nice Job! cant wait to see more from you.

    I remember you showing me this map. This definitely is one of the most beautiful forged maps. You used the island to the fullest extent. It doesn't use a ton of forged terrain, but it uses the nature of the map itself in this map variant. You sir have my download.

    You'll have to explain in detail how, exactly, you managed to duplicate your objects like that. I recall while I was testing this, you said that you had discovered a duplication glitch in forge, which could really help quite a few people out on their maps.

    I wish you had taken my suggestion with the outer coliseum walls, though. The map seems so incredibly dull without a view out to the rest of forge world, and since the bases are the only real recognizable "Structures," orientation can be rather difficult. I'm glad you took advice about the weapons, though.

    Looking back, I saw a lot of potential with this area of forge world and the nature of its one-sidedness. I really wish you had done more than just a couple of bridges and bases, because I've seen so many maps that have done this exact same thing.

    Where's your thumbnail picture? Anyways, I'm not really a fan of the more natural based maps as they are far too open. Gameplay for me was not as enjoyable as it could've been, but hey, that's just my style of gameplay. The bases were well-constructed and gameplay was still smooth and enjoyable at times, except when Marcass would start betraying me like an asshole ;) I really like that grassy rock platform in the water too, it adds a nice aesthetic touch. Keep it up man.

    I remember testing this map, and it was an absolute blast to play on (despite my dreadful connection at the time). It's a unique location that is very rarely used effectively, and you definitely managed to pull it off.

    its too bad i didnt get to test this with 4v4 plus but what i did see of it i loved it. Its a very unique use of the island since most people use the other side or the entire thing. I only wish my concept WIP in the same location can be just as good. Also having overshield on the map is a great throw back, people dont use enough of the old halo mechanics anymore. Great job!

    Nice nox, cove is up! I really like the bases on this map and the use of the island. I think the mongoose isn't needed though because there's not much room to drive around. Playing CTF was very enjoyable on this map and I can see that other objective games would be very fun too

    yeah.. i made that island =)

    But Equalsox this is a sweet map.. even though you keep killin me before i can have fun on it. haha stop trying so hard! anyway.. i liek the changes you made to red base.. so now its not boring under the red side. keep up the gooood forges

    I remember taking a look at this map. Definitely a nice spot, also the braces and the little island are good (marcass too). I like the red base a lot more than the blue bases. But nice job on this.

    I honestly love this map. It takes alot for me to want to play a forged competitive map, but this map is awesome. Firstly, as Rorak said, I want to know how you duplicated things. Speaking of walls, they are a little... bland. Maybe a colorful decoration?

    As little as i have to complain, this map's sector of terrain is epic. Works great as a map. As I do wish there was a form of cave, it isn't anything we can fix... All together an awesome-but simple map.

    Thanks for the compliments, though I cant see the resemblance between Cove and Jackal Creek, besides that they both use the Island for natural geometry. Thanks to Marcass for the island, and thanks to all the testers for the rest of the canges.

    Well im sorry you feel that way, I purposely tried to use as little forged pieces as possible to keep the natural gameplay. And as I stated in the bottom of my post, I did not discover this glitch, I downloaded it. I have the link in the bottom of my post, the only downside is you have no other walls.

    Thumbnail is now up, sorry nature maps arent your style, but im still glad you liked the gameplay. Thanks to Marcass for the island again.

    I remember playing on Utopie in BTB, that is what inspired me to make it, as almost all the gameplay in that map goes on there. Good luck on your map, and thanks to Soul Slasher (I think) for the Overshield idea. If I was wrong correct me.

    I really added the mongooses for that little bit of vehicular gameplay that each BTB map needs, also for sh*ts and giggles.

    Again, I did not discover this glitch, nor do I know how to do it. The DL is at the bottom of my post, and thanks for the compliments man, that means a lot.

    I played on this a few times and it was a lot of fun. I have to say I feel like the high ground had a little bit too much height advantage even though the rest of the map had plenty of cover. Maybe it's just me but I spent most of the time contesting that top sliver between the teleporters than anywhere else. Of course, the dynamic completely changes when you're playing a big flag game versus something smaller without objectives, so you get more points for versatility. I also agree with the decision to trade out the ghost for the grenade launcher. Nice map dude.

    It is natural for players to always contest the highest point on the map, which is why Sword Base's Gold Lift is camped so much, as it is the main way up. Also why Noxiw's Verticaus provides so many ways up to the top of the column. But Im glad CTF changes that.

    Im willing to guess that you like the island the most because Marcass made it. You guys are like *crosses*fingers* that. Im also quite proud of that fact that is plays well with both 4v4s and 8v8s. I hope you can get a game on it sometime.

    It looks really simple and beautiful Equinox, I love the simple style to the bases and the simplicity of the natural environment, no structure added. While I am not a fan of the towering lawl coliseums, everything else is simply amazing.

    I had tried making maps in the area there before, none worked out, so seeing this made me quite excited. A map in this cove region of the island? It had a good chance of being quite terrible, but I like what you did with it and I think the whole natural forgeworld approach was a good plan, as there isnt much space to build here. I hope to get a game on this sometime. My one complaint is that the bases are so simple, with so little structure, I hoped for nicer bases.
