Keep in mind that Tempest has a total of 8000 budget.

 

I am willing to give this a try. Already have map made just need to test! This will be my first map posted.

 

Thats because tempest is Much smaller than Forgeworld, although you have the same pallete of items, which means the only thing preventing you from making an amazing map is the crappy terrain.

Sounds fun. I'm in. Got some ideas for a relatively small map... should easily fit into the budget limit.

 

I will work on tempest. I just checked it out, tempest has a budget of 7500$ instead of 8000$. That means, when you will have a budget less of 2500$, you're out.

 

Yeah but $5000 is still $5000 no matter what map your on...

I wanted to put that image in my sig, but it looked too big when accompanied by my current sig. So I just settled for adding a fancy link.

Well, Ive got my map layout done. Weapons and spawns are done, now Im just adding the gametypes. Havent had much time since Ive been back at work (basically 90 minutes each afternoon), but its getting there. I dont know what it is, and Im not being self-biased or egotistical when I say this, but my map is pretty sexy. Dont ask me what it is, because I dont know, but I think its my best map yet.

Just a quick question, Lynx, my remaining budget is exactly $5000, thats fine isnt it? I wont get a DQ for that? I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I want to be sure.

 

I can make a mini sig if you want?

Also $5000 on the dot is ok. Its if its any less BAM disqualification unless you find ways to reduce budget. My map atm is sitting comfortably on $5200.

Thanks, but its still a bit too screen hogging to have both images in my sig at the same time. Dont mean to crap on your work though, I appreciate the effort, mate.

Well, thats good news then. I was sitting comfortably at $5200 also, but then added a shield-door for CTF (you'll* see why when/if you* play the map) and it knocked me down to the stopping point. Thats when I got worried and thought Id better check, just in case. Better safe than headless.

I was looking at one of my older, unreleased maps and it had $4890 left so I deleted a couple aesthetics and voila, I are haz map for this

 

Expect an entry from me, as I should try to jump on any chance to get a map of mine noticed. I'm not saying my maps are bad, it's just everyone who isn't a rookie themselves generally disregards most threads by rookies.
