YouTube - Insanely Twisted Planet extended trailer‏ Has anyone heard of this game? Ive been keeping my eye on it for a while, and it looks really cool. Kind of like Limbos' art style, mixed with a bit of something else I cant quite put my finger on. None the less, it still looks like a lot of fun to play and I cant wait to get my hands on it. Not too fussed on Demon Booger doing the music, but it might turn out to be a good mix if done right. Its going to be part of the (US) Xbox Live Summer of Arcade '11 lineup (starting July 20, I think), so it shouldnt be too much longer of a wait. For Australasians (and possibly the rest of the world), it should be the Winter of Arcade, which mirrors the US XLSA. Either way, it will be out shortly after the 20th of July. Limbo in a Spaceship with double-kick in the background... Looks cool, but I doubt I'll buy it. Hell, I didn't even buy Limbo... I just watched someone else's playthrough of it and I was satisfied.
Limbo was a really good game which I enjoyed a lot, but this game looks like it plays nothing like Limbo. Just the art direction. Im a sucker for 2D and 2.5D platformers though, and this one looks like its going to make itself part of my collection on day one. There are better vids than the one in this thread in the link provided, by the way. Ones without "double-kick in the background". ;P
This game looks pretty ****ing great. Not gonna lie. It does have that eerie ominous feel that LIMBO had, but I think that's what draws me in >.<
Smart ass . Thats not what I meant. I was more aiming for the more cartoony vibe that they've got going instead of the perspective based background/foreground thing that Limbo featured. Dont know why, but it also reminds of me Earthworm Jim 1/2s art style on the Megadrive/Genesis and SNES. Also XBLA. :\
