    Behemoth

    Map Description
Behemoth is a mainly Big Team/FFA Objective Map, although it can be
played with Slayer as well. It is situated on Montana and Alaska, which is where the
Red and Blue bases are, respectively. There are also man-cannons and a
bridge crossing the gap, which has a neutral Banshee on it, the only non-base
vehice on the map. The bases are mostly symmetrical, although the Blue Base
always has one extra Revenant in place of a Ghost and, in symmetrical game-types, two Rocket
    Hogs as well.

    Weapon's List:
    6x DMR (3 each base)
2x Sniper Rifle (1 each base)
    1x Rocket Launcher (Red Base)
    1x Spartan Laser (Blue Base)
    1x Shotgun (Walkway)
2x Plasma Pistol (1 each base)
2x Plasma Rifle (1 each base)
4x Fragmentation Grenade (2 each base)
4x Plasma Grenade (2 each base)
4x Mounted Machine Gun (2 each base)

    Vehicle List:
4x UNSC Mongoose (2 each base)
2x UNSC Normal Warthog (1 each base)
2x UNSC Rocket Warthog (Blue Base in symmetrical game-types)
2x UNSC Falcon (1 each base)
3x Covenant Ghost (2 Red Base, 1 Blue Base)
    1x Covenant Revenant (Blue Base)
    1x Covenant Banshee (Walkway, centerpiece)

Mainly, I want to find out if the Blue Team is overpowered in Attack+Defence games, like Multiflag, with the extra Rocket Hogs or if it balances with the terrain advantage of the Red Team. Also, general map review because you guys will be the first tester :). Thanks to anyone testing and giving feedback here!

Seems like an OK post, but honestly you need pictures or a video, because no matter how much you write about it... you lose a lot of people with not having these. (Besides, i think its a requirement for posting maps on here) Maybe include a weapons list too?

From a glance at the pics, it seems that there are too many narrow bottle necks, such as the long skinny bridge across the chasm and the approach to red base. It's also way, WAY too big.

I've playtested a lot of maps that bridge the montana/alaska areas (some good, mostly bad) and I'm afraid to say that this one would not be fun to play on.

I understand the bottlenecks, and that's the one thing that I was worried about, but I don't understand where the 'WAY too big' comment is coming from. It follows the Canyon, so it's about the same size as Hemmorhage, which doesn't feel too big at all for Big Team games, which this map is made for.

That, my good friend is an illusion. Hemmorhage is cut of earlier than the back of the canyon, around halfway of the right landmass, so your map is indeed larger than hemmorhage. And I have to agree with Gazzaverage, I also made the mistake of trying to create a good playable map in this area, and almost nobody succeeds and to be honest from the screenshots it seems you are no exception.

Again, sorry for the harsh critique, if you are planning on creating a montana alaska map, try to cut both areas in half with a nicely decorated wall or rocks.

In addition to the above, I would add that you need at least three crossing points. including a well covered one and one suitable for vehicle crossings (wide enough that you don't get ambushed at the far end every time)

Add Much more structure in the central area of the map too.

I see all your point's, I guess I'll make a 'remake' of sorts, using a similar area and layout but taking in all of your suggestions. Thanks guys!
