Bungie recently tweeted that there will be more gifts from the "Love Bungie" category in the app... Wonder what they'll be?
One would hope not, as that would be discrimination of the highest degree. I wonder what other surprises they have in store for us. Nothing of any real significance, Id wager. There was a random helmet that leaked with Defiant? First Ive heard of that, n00b me up, Scotty!! Still, my point stands. It would have been more of a coup de grâce if there were more armour customization options made available, apart from blue flames. I for one would have absolutely shat my pants with excitement if they finally added in the SPI armour variant. I thought it would have been included when they first released Reach, given the source material. But when it wasnt, I thought for sure it would have been included in either of the DLC Map Packs. But nope, nothing. Ive lost all hope now that I will ever see it, but that small corner of my brain that I cant shut up keeps whispering it in my minds ear and keeps that hope alive.
The defiant map pack, along with that helmet, was created solely by 343i so bungie cant release it even if they wanted to- so thats not it that helmet might be released w/ anniversary though, considering it has the halo reach multiplayer w/ new maps & 343i is also making it... and yea, bnet sign in is offline again :[

I'm pretty sure Certain Affinity made both map packs. 343i was in charge of getting them out the door.
Bungie made Noble MP all by their itty bitty selves, whereas CA made the Defiant MP, and 343i got it out the door (and helped a bit too, I think). : )
Either way, I hope details on that helmet come to light in November. I'd hate it if the speculation that "oh, they just have that helmet for internal testing on the updated dev copy" is true.
