So im having some difficulties with my new map i made for infection variants.. i set the spawns up like i was taught to be correct, bout 12 initial spawns blue team (infected) options i changed - game specific: true Properties: Inf_spawn - then i laid out 12 respawn points for blue team, and did all of that for red team as well. i dont think i've had this problem before either, but when i tried loading the game up on default infection game type, it worked as it should. With the humans and zombies spawning into their respective areas. you see, then i tried it again same settings just to make sure it works, then the humans spawned in the infected area and the zombies spawned in the human area! please help if you know whats wrong.. another thing to take note is that the testing was done locally with three controllers.

total number of players on one team is 8 so you need 8 red and 8 blue initial spawns in their respective bases.

try making all the spawn objects asymmetric as well as game specific and labeled infection

to help thoroughly i'd need to be in the lobby with you

You don't need to label them anything. Just place blue spawns and red spawns. Simple.

If the initial spawn points are for infection games and the map supports other games, then you do need to label them. The original problem, as I understand it, is that the players appeared to switch teams, but not roles. I would like to see the map. I cannot comment on it further unless I see it, because it sounds too strange. Can you put it on your fileshare?

for infection, you could have 15 for each team and it would be correct. Some infection games are made for only one human.

I will look at it tonight.

    UPDATE:

The problem was straight forward and explains your symptoms perfectly.

The initial spawn points are not assigned to blue or red team. You merely colored them blue and red. Since all initial spawn points are neutral team, the spawn engine will pick any of them for any player. In theory, you could have humans and zombies spawn in the same box.

Also, I found one blue colored initial spawn point not set to a game type.

Alright thanks dude. i really appreciate you goin into my map and figurin out whats up with the spawn problem. i always thought changing the color of the initial spawns assigned them to the team. so now i just go in advanced options and theres a team assignment option or something?

    Don't go to Advanced.

The first normal option is the Team. The last normal option is the color. The first affects the object's function and appearance. The last only affects the appearance.

P.S. You don't need the "INF_SPAWN" label unless you're making the map for multiple gametypes. If you are, you can use either "INFECTION" or "INF_SPAWN", so long as Gametype-Specific is "TRUE".
