I'll read it someday. Was just being a smartass by saying someone has read it. Have you read the Great Gatsby? Incredible book. Only book I actually read in high school.
Read both of them. Catcher in the Rye was, to be honest, **** in my opinion. Completely unlikable character placed in a relatively uninteresting story. The only part I enjoyed was the ferris wheel. I just finished reading The Great Gatsby about a week ago, and that was a great book. One of the only books I've ever read and said to myself, "I wish that was longer."
Is that by Salinger too? I think I'm actually supposed to read that for my summer reading, which probably won't happen then, but hearing about it so much I actually might. But dude honestly check out Catcher. Really easy to get into, and you'll love it.
Yeah man kids in my class feel the same was as you do. But I don't know, for me , I can relate to him so easily, especially it being set in Manhattan knowing the whole environment.
The Great Gatsby's by F Scott Fitzgerald, and is easily one of my favorite books, it's really good. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is one of the best books I read, it's very sad, but very good, I'd also suggest The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night Time, both of these are great modern titles (within the last 20 years), and are relatively easy reads.
I ****ING READ THAT TOO MAN 8th GRADE Yeah I guess I understand I look like some junior high kid just reading some "AMURICAN CLAHSICS" , and well that's pretty much what's happening. But it is really good lol Yeah dude, if it's not required to read, I'll definitely just check it out myself.
Exactly how I felt about it. Everything ties up so well though. And I've heard stuff about Gatsby being a fool, or being a tool, but he was really likable. I have to get through Game of Thrones and write a novel before I read it. lol.
Holy **** what the ****...I read that **** too. Jesus Christ dude I can't remember anything from that lol, what was it about.
I read a book about a black guy that grew up in Africa and got into rape, drugs, and killing people. Then we talked to him on Skype.
For some reason, what got me into actual recreation reading I guess is what you would call it, was picking up Harry Potter again randomly and loving the **** out of it. I'm glad I did because thankfully I'm no longer "HURR BOOKS ARE GAY PASS ME THE SPARKNOTES BRO" or **** like that lol
I think I read that too. Was the title of the book something like Boy Soldier or something along those lines? If so, that is one of my favorite books of all time. EDIT: Just looked it up and it's called A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier. Love that book.
