I have a maze map that features roving kill balls, but they're not working as they should. As it is, they're located on a rail just under the floor of the map and move continuously through the use of grav lifts. A sizable portion of the kill ball is visible within the map, yet deaths are not always granted walking through them. They will kill, but seldom do. Does anyone have a solution? I have a version of the map in my fileshare if anybody wants to see the system firsthand.
Raise the killballs. The killballs death boundaries arent the same as its appearance boundaries. E.g: You stand about half a block length into a killball and not die.
Hard to see the exact problem without seeing the map (to lazy to download) but it's probably already been said by previous posts but remember Kill balls have different physics in reach compared to halo 3. Not 100% true, it has to be airtight wall between you and the core and has spread past the edges of the kill ball. (was like that in halo 3 haven't testing in reach but safe then sorry) So just remake the floors with tiny holes in it and kill ball will kill.
Thanks for the replies, guys. Seems like I'll just have to stick the kill balls within the player-accessible confines of the map itself.
