Knockin' Zombs is banshee-ramin', run-for-your-life'n crazy good times. Download here!

    From the runner's perspective:
    [BUNGIEVID]17714066[/bungievid]

    From the banshee's perspective:
    [BUNGIEVID]17714063[/bungievid]

    Here's some wordy bits:
-Everybody gets 1 life. If all runners die, the round ends. If the banshee dies, the round ends.
-The banshee wins by knockin' all the runners off. Shooting causes no damage.
-Runners win by killing the banshee. This is only possible by pressing the red button at the end.
-The red button forcibly ejects the banshee pilot! If the pilot manages to land on the platform rather than fall to their doom, they're still doomed anyway! The pilot does 0 damage and will be at the runner's mercy.

Wow, this is amazing. The mechanic of forcibly ejecting the banshee pilot is great. My only problem is how much cover there is for the humans. As an idea, delete some of the cover and make it so runners can jump high enough to go over the banshee if done right.

The idea is such a simple yet unique and creative one. I enjoy the entire concept and it seems like it would have much re-play value. The idea is not overly complicated and keeps the people a simple basic idea of what to do!

If you don't mind I would like to re-build this map off of the original piece you have made here, my goal is to give it aesthetics more for a more interesting look and feel to it, there will be some slight design changes, but I want to keep the overall feel. I would be happy to give you full credit in the post and re-made map's description! I feel like this map could have a lot more to it and I wish to do that! Please give me a answer at your earliest convince and don't feel bad to say "no" I can completely understand!

Also, once again great job on this map, it is amazing! :D

    Thanks!

I like simplistic design, especially given that the banshee does so well with open skies. I don't think there needs to be anything there for the sole purpose of giving people something to look at.

But how about this--go ahead and make your changes, but when you're done, post your edited map as a reply in this thread (pictures and all, just as if you were making your own thread--except instead of making your own thread, you do it as a reply post in this one). I'll then edit my original post to include a link to your reply post, so people will see it when they open this thread.

I just don't like the sound of a second thread being started on this board for essentially the same map.

    Sound fair? :)

I can only tell by the pictures, (internet is going down) but what i can see is that it looks very similar to Halo 3's Bridge to Taribithia... and if it is, i'm looking forward to this. Do fusion coils fall down?

Well, I should hope it looks like Halo 3's Knockin' Zombs original :)

No random fusion coils dropping down--I don't really see the appeal in that. But check out the videos when you get the chance--I think they tell you everything there is to know about the gametype.

    Edited by merge:

    You should really install silverlight.

But for the sake of sharing the mechanism with everyone:
The runners are zombies, the banshee pilot is the only human.

The landmine is a very tiny safe haven. The banshee pilot does 0 damage and 0 melee, so they can't blow up the landmine. And because it's area is so small, they can't activate the safe haven either.

But the zombies do melee damage, which means they can blow up the landmine by touching it. So when the landmine blows up, the safe haven is forced to move to the next one, which is...the banshee!

The banshee is a large safe haven set to give the human no vehicle use, which means they are forced to exit the banshee.

The haven lasts for 1 minute, which gives the zombies time to kill the human if s/he manages to land on the platform instead of falling to her/his death.
