By Dinosaur Drugs Pre-Note The process for making this map and perfecting it through testing took me weeks, and I put a lot of my time into it. I would greatly appreciate it if you would comment telling me what you think or at least download, Thanks for looking at my map. Map Summary Deprived is an asymmetrical medium sized competitive map specifically made for Slayer and CTF. For maximum enjoyment it should be played with 6-12 players, although 4 players is possible the map is a bit large for 2v2's. The height changes on the map were designed specifically to give both teams a height advantage in certain parts of the map. You may notice the sleek teleporter pits that I've placed on the map, these are not an original idea but I wanted a better way to teleport players that looked nice as well. For aesthetics I have a theme of certain textures that are common throughout the map, with a color pallette of slight blues and greens with gray. As I told Confused Flamingo I am "embracing the grayness". 6/10 I give the map a personal 6/10. Non-personally it's a 9. The map looks great, doesn't have overfilled lines of sight, and plays pretty well. The only reason I don't score it higher is because it doesn't suit my style of play. Don't be offended, though; half of my own maps don't fit my style (lol!). I recommend this map to anyone who enjoys custom competitive games (I know I do!). Nice work.
That doesn't make any sense. Back to the map. This map is quiet impressive! I like the simplistic, solid, style of the map; something I have been trying. It seems that a lot of people have been using Platform, XXL lately but you integrate it nicely. A picture detailing the layout would be nice because I'm not exactly sure what goes where. Other than what I just said, this is a very clean, well made, (what seems to be) well thought out map.
I've played on this map and I have to say that the forging is neat and the gameplay was hectic, intense and extremely fun. Even with 4 people. I really loved the floor with the teleporters in them, it's very creative and useful when you need a quick getaway. The weapons were placed well and I felt that the map had no overpowering areas. Teriffic job on this one Dino. If you need any help in the future with testing and such let me know.
I really enjoyed play testing this, It's complecated at first but then starts to openn up to you and show you it's secrets. My favorite of which is the little floor teleporters. I love those and can't beleive you didn't show them off. Why?
I thought you would have shown me three-capping in the Vid lol. I do love this map though. There is a very good use of the teleporter pits and the weapon placement is outstanding. You've come up trumps this time Dino.
