I genuinely have to question whether you've watched any Reach footage at all if you're saying stuff like that. I know I'm a Pistola fanboy, but surely no one in their right mind could say that most players on the circuit are better than him.

Godsquad are dominating everyone online. Without exception. Pistola is consistently putting up insane numbers, often enough better than Roy. To put that in perspective, I'll once again remind you that he isn't the one grabbing Snipe off start. He's the one getting up in the other team's face, baiting and starting kills for other people (often enough for Roy), and if you can do that and still put up the best numbers in any game on a stacked squad like FB/Instinct, you are sick. I'm sorry, there's literally no way you can argue against that logic.

As for MVP for Dallas '10, I'm pretty sure it was actually Cloud who got it that event (since I don't think that have a separate one for Nats and Cloud got it overall for '10). So I guess you're talking about Best Overall at the Pros Choice. And obviously enough pros agree with me to have given him the award, along with the other like 7 1st places he got. Next highest person in terms of 1st places had like 2...

Most players play for teamwork. Tsquared, OGRE 2, Lunchbox, and Clutch are just a couple examples of players who help promote the performance of their entire team.

If by stat whores, you mean players who often use power weapons, you'd be wrong. People who are good with power weapons are still helping their team by effectively using a weapon that can make quick work of the enemy team. Assisting isn't all there is to teamwork, you know.

Lunchbox was doing much better on the Godsquad, from what I've seen. I rarely watch Reach footage any more. I'm normally looking at Halo 2 and 3 events out of nostalgia. I don't find watching Reach footage to be very entertaining. I've only seen about 2 games from Godsquad and a couple games from Dynasty, Warriors, Final Boss, Str8 Rippin, Triggers Down, and Instinct.

It's true, but rarely do you find a player who does so much to put their team in a good position whilst still being able to go most positive. Most players who have the skill to pull of insane plays tend to have a certain bold mentality to go with it, some would call it egocentric but I think that's overplaying it a little, it's merely playing to your strengths. However, it does get in the way of true team play at times, and Pistola combines an insane shot, insane reactions, and an insane natural sense of positioning with the kind of naturally selfless mentality that can assess a situation in a split second then duck out of the battle he's in just long enough to turn around and put that essential hit on a flag carrier or a chasing opponent (oh, did I mention his awesome awareness to?).

Basically it just seems like he's always playing bigger picture, and it's genuinely rare to find someone with that level of skill but without anything close to an ego in game, in the second to second sense which a setup or takeback can hinge upon.

If anything, Lunch is the weakest player on that squad in terms of plays, which is saying something because he's insanely skilled as well as being even more selfless than Pistola. I genuinely suggest you watch more footage before brushing Pistola off, you have no idea what you're missing. I mean how can you say with any authority who's better or worse in the league if you barely watch any footage? Not trying to have a go, you're obviously entitled to your opinion, just seems odd that you're so adamant on this with what seems like little real context.

I was basing Pistola off of his performance in Halo 3. He may have done some good stuff in Reach, but I've yet to see enough of him to judge his Reach performance.
