... a crazy german ForgeHub Guardian had the idea to mix those maps and rebuidl them on Forge World togehter with some of his friends? Ignore my epic MS Paint Skills Map Number 1 Map Number 2 Map Number 3
sounds awesome, athough for future posts make the +'s white or another colour it dosent work with the background
It'd be amazing, LD, but I reckon it'll be difficult to pull off. You thinking a sort of Valhalla/Burial Grounds outside, with inside structures based off longest, pit etc?
fail idea is fail What if... LD wasnt a german poke ****? Also.. how can you have influence from 9 different maps?!?! YOU MAKE NO SENSE MR **** PANTS!
So the Map would be mostly natural with some Covie and Forerunner buildings, 2 canyons, a giant bridge between two mountains and a space ship hanging in the air?! It's gonna be awesome.
Sorry for the confusion, those are 3 different maps, each of those 3 different maps is influenced by 3 Halo maps. For example, the first map is a mixture of Gemini, The Pit and Midship, the second map is a mixture of Vallhalla, Beaver Creek and Burial Mounds and the last map is a mixture of Elongation, Longest and Narrows
... And I would get a huge boner This does look interesting, although you seem to have made some pretty strange choices for maps to combine...
true^^ but the more difference = the more interesting lol I wanna see the first maptheme though, these maps are <3 btw I'm german too (lolz), if you wanna play or forge or whatever would be cool also add mich mal, falls net schon freundesliste voll hast
This, I think exact remakes got boring 2 weeks after Reach was released and everyone had to build his own version of every popular map in the history of Halo. My map choices may seem a little odd at first, but think about it. The Pit and Midship are similar in their layout, take the Midship base design, the name giving pits, the greenbox and longhall from the Pit and add some Gemini to the middle structures and you got a great competitive map with various structures that make people go "wow, I remember that from The Pit!"
I don't know about the trees, I can't find a place with symetrical trees I've made two versions so far, one is in the Colosseum, I saved a lot of objects due to the default walls, but it's too grey for my taste. The other version is on the quarry, I used a little glich to make the gras almost even, but there are still some places where one team has a little height adventage, so I would need to find a way to fix that. But you can't deny the MLG inspiration on both versions
1 doesn't make sense. Gemini really had no outstanding features, and Midship and The Pit, despite both being symmetrical, evoke completely different styles of play. 2 i can understand. You could try and make the kind of open ground you see in Valhalla, the complexity of bases you see in Beaver Creek and the asymmetric base example from Burial Mounds. 3 just seems silly. They are all closely related maps, with similar game-play trends and spawn systems. Gathering your influence from certain maps is one thing, but making a map based explicitly from these 3 is stupendous. There is a complete lack of distinction between the maps.
Stupendous? You do realize that word means amazing/incredible, right? Because you seem to be using it as if it meant "really stupid."
