Alpha station Today, i have wonderful treat for you community. Forged by yours truly and some cool guy called Ociee, this 1v1 / 2v2 map is near its completion. The map applies many height variations in a simple layout so that players can easily avoid confusion, or even worse, getting lost. The map has a multitude of diverse weaponry that is suitable for a small map played with 2-6 people. There are: - 1 grenade launcher ( 2 spare clips ) - 1 sniper rifle ( 1 spare clip i think ) - 1 energy sword - 2 needle rifles - 2 frag grenades - 2 DMRs - 2 plasma pistols - 4 sticky grenades - 1 plasma repeater - 2 plasma rifles now for some pics to help explain: This is blue base, in the base there is pair of grenades, a plasma rifle and a needle rifle. This base connects with the lower floor, the middle floor and the 3rd floor. The same applies to red base, as we can see here: Now as stated earlier, both bases connect to the bottom level, shown here: The bottom floor features a health pack and the lift to the attic Here is the middle floor. This also has a health pack and the grenade launcher. This is the 3rd floor. This has the sniper rifle spawn and features to large walkways and the end of which is a plasma pistol and plasma nade. And last but not least, the attic. This has the sword spawn and plasma repeater spawn. hey I played on this you and ociee did a really nice job, the structures are beautiful in that classic ociee style and it looks perfect for free for all.
Thanks Dino, Ill make so 4-6 player FFA and double team will work perfectly. The thing is, the map is very open so we will have do alot with spawns
It looks very clean and you've used some intersted pieces in interesting places which i like, not a boring weapon set either which i often find with a lot of maps.
Thanks. We spent quite some time just walking around looking for bumps of instances of z-fighting. The weapon set would be so diverse because me and oxide had two different sets and we just had to mix them
Hey berb I'll put the version in my fileshare with the big 1x4 column block pieces, and maybe you could download it and put that in there because I really think they help the map, you know here the covie crates are, them.......... ALSO If any one could give help with a name or perhaps suggestions for weapon setup it would be greatly appreciated!

Random name suggestion: Equilibrium (means balance between two opposite forces) Neways, the map looks very clean but there seem to be a lot of weapons for 1v1 or 2v2. Also the pictures get very confusing, is the sniper on the walkway, the third floor, or the attic?
The sniper is in the indent on the right side of the walkway in this pic you can see a little room there thanks for yout feedback, we will have to test to see what the weapons are like
That name will definitely be a consideration along with any other names people give I suppose they're are quite a few weapons for a 2v2 - 3v3 map? I'm sure me and Berb will work something out - we always do. And the Sniper is on the third floor. So ya Berb definitely tomorrow
Ok good, this needs to get done Edit The map has been uptaded. There is now a skylight above the attic and now two big windows at each base. It allows for more natural light brightening the map up. It will be posted on the TG within the next couple if days.
Sup berb, i had a great time playin on this map today, all the areas seemed to complimeny each other. The only problem i thought was that SO much of the combat occurred on that ONE strip. If there is any way to move the combat elsewhere i think it would really help. I hope u enjoyed playin on gallium too!!
That concentrated area of fighting is probably due to the fact that the sniper is up there and it is very accessible from the attic. I'll wait to see what the TG say but I will consider switching the weapons up. Probably: Sword=>overshield Sniper=>shotgun? Gl=>Gl cuz there was no issue with it I might have to switch spawns to concentrate on the lower level to balance things. Btw, thanks and I loved playing on gallium
Berb I LOVE this map. I'm wondering if you worked on thos splitscreen lag problems? Anyway this map is great, you and ociee made a masterpiece.
Why thankyou Dino. We did fix the lag problems in that one area. Now I havento wait for the TG to test and for me to fix spawns and such
Played a 1v2 on this (and almost won), and liked it. It seemed like the bottom isn't used very much besides spawning though. Granted, we didn't exactly get a legitimate game on it. Looks good so far though. Good luck on the final
Nice man! Make sure to post this to the TG so we can post our reviews, honestly this is almost freakin perfect, but I have a few ideas to help improve it plus what I told you before. Game on here was sweet except for sword camping (except when I was doing it, then it was all good-
