I can kind of feel for you. Ofcourse the only difference is that I am not technically part of a clan. Still me and my friends get trashed talked alot too. [shrug shoulders].

 

Bungie.net is a joke right now. I cant even go on there without getting angry.

Bungie.net is always too slow for me too... I get so pissed...

 

For me it isn't so much of it being slow. It just really glitchy from to time (more then less).

 

The site isn't slow....it's the members...

Anyway, I don't think bitching here solves much either.

 

That is true. If we really wanted to make an issue of it for Bungie we would propably be doing it on a bungie forum.

Bungie.net consists of many logical people that simply get drowned out by annoying kids. In the classifieds, if you are looking to recruit people, you just make the post and hope that there is a diamond inside the massive **** that is the Bungie.net community's maturity

 

I think Bungie.net was always kind of a **** pile, it just didn't always smell as bad. Really, no one complained or trolled as much as they do now.

Everyone just kind of worked together to find and do cool ****.

It wasn't the hate filled craphole it is now.

 

I think most of the complaining comes from the call of duty and modern warfare fans that just become members so they can take down the moral of the halo community.

Seriously I have gone into plenty a thread started by a complainer stating, "If only it were more like COD" or "if only it were more like mordern warfare 2" or "Samus kicks master chiefs a** any day."

It is really that stupid.

Then you have these people complaining the armor lock is broken. And while I don't use armor lock I have to say that as long as the unlimited armor ability feature isn't on, it is just as balanced as the others. Besides armor locking in an infection game is just stupidity.

 

I haven't messed with the classifieds, but I wholeheartedly agree that bungie.net is broken.

I've made threads there that were bumped off the first page into oblivion in the time it took me to hit Submit and go outside to smoke a cigarette.

I've also had other threads in which the first ten posts consisted of "You're a Witch!" "Lol" "Roflcopter" and so on and so forth...the OP of which was a technical question regarding file uploading.

Bungie.net is now where I go when I'm too happy for my own good. It always depresses me. Hey, at least it's consistent.

 

If I'm feeling stupid, I go there to help myself feel smart.

 

There's two reasons for this...
1.) The sheer volume of users posting daily.
2.) An insufficient moderation staff that doesn't do what moderators are supposed to do... merge like topics.

They don't enforce posting in existing topics and this is a major issue that Bungie's forums run into. Then again, they need to get that **** search function working properly as well...

 

I heard from someone that 343 took the site but didn't change it because of how used it was already, of course, could be 100% wrong about that cuz I didn't look at that myself, just heard it from a friend. Either way, if it's not the case 343 has the site, I wouldn't really think Bungie cares

 

Yup. Even though Bungie is a completely idependent company that isn't owned by Microsoft anymore, 343 still somehow controls their website. That makes a ton of sense. Moral of this story? Don't believe everything you hear.
