Hypro is a map that I designed specifically for 2v2/1v1 competitions. It is an asymmetrical map layout and the layout is quite interesting. The main attraction for the map would probably be the tower in the center, which is not overpowered since there are four ways up to it (It has been tested btw). There are some intricate pathways and several tactical jumps that are sweet. --As far as power weapons go, there's a GL and two Snipers with 0 clips and 120 sec respawn time. Here are some pics: GL spawns in there btw Thanks for taking a look and tell me what you think so far. I have played a decent amount of 2v2 games on it, but if anyone wants to test let me know.
wow... now thats an interesting layout. one improvement I can definately say is needed though in order to keep gameplay moving and not static.... Connect the two towers. All players are gonna flock to high ground anyway, but having the two towers isolated means they're just gonna take a tower each and camp it... connect the towers by a bridge and it becomes just another level to fight on.
The other tower isn't in the playspace Steve. I've enjoyed the map everytime I got a chance to try it, although I still feel that the tower is slightly overpowered. Then again, you could've changed something since the last time I played.
Ohhh well I didn't know that, I can only see half of the tower in one of the pictures How come it isn't playable?
It's just aesthetics. I make take away that roof or something but it's supposed to be just lke a closed area of the map. What I might do is make an indoor area by that side. Might be interesting.
Yep yep yep, nicely done. As Nibbles said, very fun almost every time (probably because we destroy almost every time we're on the same team ). There has only been one time where Psycho and I believe it was Longshot, they stayed up there for quite a while and it was pretty difficult to get them down. By nonetheless, great layout and gameplay. But the bottom floors seem to be underused.
I really enjo this map. the layout is fun, and top control is very important. however, the lower areas are still fun to traverse and fight in. I really like how you added a second sniper, even though the rockgun was pretty cool too. The map is great overall, and I look forward to competitioning on it.
