A great idea for Bungie in the future...... Maybe for when Reach comes out...

Make an epic FORGE GAME DISC thats seperate from the regular game disc for all us forgers!!!!!!!!!

When your done with a map, simply transfer it over to the regular game disc. Maybe incorporate the limit-100 aspect into it.

I'd like the option to select whatever items we want on any map. Let me give you an example: Say Powerhouse has a block or something, I would like to be able to place that block (maybe with a different skin) on a map such as Boneyard or Swordbase

Ok so i was reading this post and thought of how amazing it will be but when i read further I knew that Bungie would probably not do this without a pofit, So i was thinking about what you guys said about mods and such but I think that Bungie would release something like "Source Sdk" (Map Maker For C:ss Gmod and such) For a price so they make a profit, and Bungie can take advantage of the new Usb mode for Xbox so you can transfer your map to your xbox and you can play it or even go to forge to add stuff in it (Sandbox in Gmod). I would also like to see a more advanced gamemode editor, like where you can script and such, for example you want to make a Role Play for Halo the way you want it then you can script it on your computer and transfer it to your game.

I really think themes would be the coolest. Reach's Sandbox/Foundry should just a clean and blank map, no theme. Once you apply a theme, say forerunner, a box would change into a forerunner box. If bungie included skins, everyone wouldn't be limited to the theme of the map, if you wanted a foundry look, pick 'industrial theme' or whatever and you could build your map from that.

That would be sweet. Reminds me of TSFP. Who here thinks blood gulch was forged? I personally don't think so but I hope I'm wrong!

That spud be pretty cool if it was, but let's remember that bungie is selling this game to soo many more less experienced forgers, or mapmakers. They need to keep it atleast semi simplistic or there will be many frusterated twelve year olds around the country

    Like FarCry2!

I think it'd be super duper coolio if you could adjust an objects length/width/height.

I hate when people ask this feature to forge, because you dont think about how complicated it is and how much tech you would need.

And how is Bungie not smart?!! If Bungie was a dumbass company the Halo series would be long dead, we wouldn't even have "ForgeHub.com" or "XForgery.com".

I'm not saying bungie will do it for sure, but they definitely can and I really feel that it might happen.

    Who said Bungie wasn't smart?

If you are talking about the themes thing then yes I do think about how complicated it would be. About as complicated as changing the camo on a gun in MW2! In fact, it's so easy you could follow a 10 minute tutorial and know how to do it (with basic knowledge). TSFP had themes and it was out may years ago.... The only thing that stops Bungie is room on the disk. If they had room then they could do it without a problem.
If you were talking about a map editor. Then yes that is pretty dam complicated BUT you are forgetting that it's Bungie where talking about. I have no doubt that Bungie could easily top far cry 2's map editor without a problem. However, there is a large problem....
With halo reach's extremely awesome graphics and limited room on a disk, a map editor/maker that could do stuff (from scratch) up to the standards of reach just doesn't seem possible. Look at the graphics in blood gulch and you can tell that nothing like that could be done in a map editor/maker. I can see an improved forge, not a map editor/maker.
As for people saying Bungie isn't smart.... Sorry to break this to you but the only person who did that was you....
"I hate when people ask this feature to forge, because you dont think about how complicated it is" Your the only one saying that Bungie couldn't do it if they wanted to. If your talking about themes then not only are you calling Bungie dumb but you are also calling them "a dumbass company".

i want like a rank system, so one person could be like a general, and be in command of the soldiers, and different kinds of soldiers, ODST's, Spartans, Marines ect. i realize the game is out already, but they could put it in downloadable content.

    First best post ever.

However, I think we can safely put this thread to bed now since the game is not just released but maturing nicely like a fine cheese.

Apologies, Kane, but I'm sure that your idea's time will come....
