Trainspotting, Old Boy, Eraserhead, Human Centipede, Requiem for a Dream and Splice are too messed up for me to watch. I don't want nightmares.
trainspotting old boy and eraserhead(haven't seen this yet, but ive heard only good things) would be worth it. human centipede has no good movie beneath its disgusting shell, and requiem for a dream just has a good soundtrack and really nothing else imo. and splice well, i think you'd be fine and dandy without it

I loved Requiem, very sad, and very good. Although I'm a huge Darren Aronofsky fan to the point of bias, so I wouldn't use my opinion lol. Human centipede I agree though, it's just a gross-out film, no really redeeming qualities. Splice just looks like a bad horror, but I haven't seen it.
lol i LOVED Splice actually. i watched Cube the night before to get a taste of Vincenzo Natali's directing style to get me into it. Sarge, he didn't enjoy it so much. Requiem is good, but i never really felt like going back to it after the first time. That's just me, i didn't care so much for the heroin, sex, and ass to ass(lol) stories, but the story of the Mom is EXCELLENT.
The story of the mom is definitely the most heart-wrenching one, since she had absolutely no clue what she was doing, not just another addict like the rest of them. And me and my friends still use the ass to ass phrase lol, probably not something he intended people to make fun of...
