    Description

    Diverge is a very small, symmetrical, 2v2 map. I wanted to go towards a more "natural" feel for a change, and used the grass as the flooring. The maps location is at one of the bases on Hemorrhage so i can use one of the smoothest land. Although the Quarry is a nice flat surface, [pun]it has its ups and downs[/pun]-no? okay. I think the map gives an ancient sort of feeling with its broken paths, and open ceiling.

    Game play usually goes towards top center. The Grenade Launcher drop spawns up there, but it is very open to attacks from all angles. DMRs are practically everywhere with a 15 second respawn time, so if you're playing with AR start, you're most likely to always find a DMR some where. The Plasma Pistol is always a good advantage towards shields. It's very easy to take down your opponent with the short distance combat. Pick your weapon of choice and dominate.

    I want to give thanks to all who have helped me with this map in any sort of way. Big thanks thanks to the Peeps for all the testing done on here. I'm not so sure how many we played. but i thought it was always fun. Erupt, thanks for all the "forge help" you have given me. Always willing to come into forge and come up with crazy jump ups. All of them are still there. Psycho, thanks of course for helping with the spawning. Although you didn't help with much...I still think its nice you pitched in like usual. LD, for some aesthetics idea. You know what im talking about :) Sorry if I didn't personally mention someone that I should have. Let me know if should.

    This is quite amusing to me as I was just looking through some old posts and saw a preview for this and thought it looked good. Then, whatya know, here it is. I like the aesthetics of this map and the weapon list seems good for the size and layout. I will give it a dl, good job longshot

    This looks like a great map. the only thing you should do is change the main image for the map. it didnt attract my attention much (other than the fact that i accidentally clicked on it by accident because i was trying to click on something else), so im sure others wont view it as much.

    :D Specially Thanked! And in this one, I didn't even have to make my own jump up. You accidentally made that slide jump that no one but me can do. /Like a Boss. I guess there is my rafter jump... but let's not ruin that for everyone else!

    Anyways, this is one if the prettiest looking competitive maps out there by far. You should have picture the roof better with all the railings n stuff. Plus, you can't tell what the grid is. >.< Not that I even understood what it was at first. In-game for that matter... But meh. Anyways, great job.

    Nah, but seriously, this was a really cool map for some 1v1s. I can tell it was intended for players above my skill level, with all the jump ups I could never seem to make, but it was still fun exploring all of the little nooks and crannies, and backsmacking people during oddball games.

    I think the larger version that you're working on is going to be better, though. It looks Pit sized, and a 4v4 on something like this would be sweet :)

    Layout looks smooth, so I'm bettin gameplay is as well. As for aesthetics, you managed to do a good job with that without going overboard. Overall, this map looks really well-forged and has some creative structural design. Also, yeah, nice photoshop skills ;) Good work.

    Yay! I lurve this map cuz its cool and stuffs.

    Oh yea, my post...
    I think everything from the layout to the aesthetics is really well done on here. The layout is simple, and easy to figure out, but dynamic enough to be a lot of fun. I don't think I've played a 1v1 here, but for 2v2 and FFA games the map is a blast. I really like all of the aesthetic touches like the rock paths, grids, railings, and the way you angled your struts.

    Awesome map, reminds me of bacon!

    Hey you got it up. Lmao BACON!!?? Played a decent amount of 2v2s on here and they were fun. The jump ups were pretty sweet. I really liked the bridge that's where most of the killing would happen. I will DL this and like it and I hope you keep making awesome maps! (bacon?)

    This map has an impressive value in aesthetics and I believe that you succeded in making the ancient feel in the map...you made the map look nice with the objects with originalty and you made have a value of natural so the metallic objects didnt overpower the map...the weapons seem to be good on the map... the only questions are how easy is it to camp the top and does that fx appear in the map or just you pictures?

    Well ti's easy to get up to top mid from different ways and becasue of its size, but it's very easy to be taken out. Its really open because...well not cover lol there's no Fx on it. I just edited the photos to stand out some more. The grass is greener on the other side...of the pictures?

    Updated the thread with 3(6) new photos. Got a little more of the roofing like Erupt wanted :)

    It couldn't hurt to show pictures of the map with regular color, as the filterred look may be a turn off to some. The map is a lot prettier without it too, IMO.

    Alright, well i did reduce the gradient map filter from 65% to 30%. it shows it's true colors a lot more, but still brings out some blues and yellows. (hard to tell)

    This looks like a really well forged map! You've really captured the 'ancient' feel of the map, using natural ground. Weapons aren't hard to find, spawning works most of the time and action isn't easy to miss.

    Fabulous job, will definitely give this map a try later tonight.

    Thanks. glad you enjoy it. Spawning works really well team based, but sadly when it comes to FFA, becasue of the size, spawning in an area next to an enemy will happen most of the time. I recommend just staying with 4 people for FFA so it's not to hectic.

    Well, im not feeling it, but I guess if it was good enough to get on FHF XI, its good enough for my DL. Congratulations man.

    I can't decide whether I like this, or the 4v4 version better... They're both bacon! This map could have looked even better if it was built on Tempest. You could have added some driftwood to accent the natural feel too. Oh well, I guess only cool kids forge on Tempest.

    I give your map a bacon/cake

    This map have a awesome aesthetics! I like some of the use of forge pieces. It looks remarkably well made. I'll be looking for more from you :) Good work & nice shop ^^
