"Dead Gamertags" revived.

As a man who's seen many phases of Grif, I can say that you would probably regret changing your GT to Ira Glass.

 

Lets say you find a GT that you want to be your main GT but you don't have the points. Can you make a new account then register that GT, then buy points delete the account you made that has the GT you want, and then change your main account GT to it?
Hope you can understand what I'm talking about.

But now ****ing xbox is telling me this gamertag is in use when it's clearly not on the website, nor can I request the gamertag. WHAT THE ****.

Would they ban names that have been deemed offensive, because I'm sure some people would find the name offensive when it's really not. ****IN XBOX MAN.

Edit: Well yeah it turns out I can't change it even though it obviously doesn't exist. I think it might be a banned gamertag or they just haven't updated yet, which I doubt. This sucks..

Yeah, the same thing is happening to me, and I know mine's not offensive.

 

It's because it's scheduled to be deleted, they start with the website, then the actual accounts. It did this to me too, asked Xbox Support on twitter lol.
