    A.I. -- I AM AWARE OF THAT, S-150. MICHAEL AND BRIDGETTE WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN.
    AS YOU AND YOUR PLATOON ARE AWARE, THE COLE PROTOCOL WAS ENACTED AS SOON AS WE REALISED THAT WE WERE NOT ALONE ON THIS RING. THE UNSC COPPERFIELD STAYED IN A LOOSE ORBIT, WHILE YOU LED YOUR TEAM ON THE GROUND. I WAS PERSONALLY PREPARED FOR A SYSTEM-WIDE PURGE AND DELETE.

    S-150- WELL YOU A.I.’S SURE DO TAKE YOUR JOBS SERIOUSLY. LETS GET DOWN TO IT SHALL WE? AS SOON AS WE REALISED FROM TACHYON SCANNING THAT THE “SILENT BARBARIAN” WAS DEAD IN THE WATER, THE SLIPSPACE DRIVE KNOCKED OUT, OUR MISSION BECAME TO CAPTURE THE SHIP FOR ONI AND ‘DEAL’ WITH IT’S OCCUPANTS IN ANY MANNER FITTING.

    A.I. - WHAT WAS PHASE ONE OF THE MISSION?

    S-150- I TOOK A BOARDING PARTY DOWN TO THE CANYON, THE GULCH, WHERE THE SHIP HAD BEEN MOORED FOR REPAIRS. EARLIER SCANS ALSO SHOWED THAT THEY WERE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR OWN SCANNERS, AND WE HOPED THE ONLY WARNING THEY WOULD HAVE OF OUR ARRIVAL WAS WHEN WE STARTED SHOOTING.
    HOWEVER WHEN WE TOUCHED DOWN, IT SOON BECAME APPARENT THAT THE COVIES HAD MADE SOME PREPARATION, AND THEY DEFENDED THE GRAVITY LIFT FIERCELY. I LOST A COUPLE OF SPARTANS, BUT WE CAPTURED IT, AND USED IT TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE INTERIOR.

    PHASE 2- THE ENGINE ROOM

    S-150- THE SECOND PHASE OF THE MISSION WAS TO CAPTURE AND DISABLE THE CRAFT’S IMPULSE ENGINES, SO THAT IT COULDN’T CLIMB OUT OF ATMOSPHERE, OR BE INTENTIONALLY SCUPPERED. THE LOADING BAY WAS ANOTHER BATTLEGROUND. WITH OVERWHELMINGLY FOCUSSED DMR FIRE, WE WERE ABLE TO REACH THE ENGINE ROOM, AND CAPTURE IT, HOWEVER NOT WITHOUT SEVERAL MORE CASUALTIES.

    PHASE 3- BOMBING THE WEAPONS ROOM

    A.I.- IT NOW FELL TO YOU TO FIND A MEANS OF DISABLING THE FORWARD PLASMA WEAPON CONTROL ROOM. WERE YOU ABLE TO FIND SUITABLE EXPLOSIVES ON BOARD?

    S-150 -- LUCKILY FOR US, THERE WAS A POWERFUL ARMING CHARGE IN THE ADJACENT NAVIGATION ROOM. WITH SOME DIFFICULTY WE TOOK THE CHARGE AND PROCEEDED TO THE CONROL ROOM. WE FACED STERN OPPOSITION FROM ELITES USING THEIR “PLASMA SWORDS”; WE WERE HOWEVER ABLE TO COUNTER WITH ARMOUR ABILITIES AND GRENADE LAUNCHERS. THE COVIES FOUGHT MARVELLOUSLY, I MUST SAY.

    S-150 --- THE COVENANT’S CRUELTY IN WAR IS MATCHED ONLY BY THE ELITE’S MISPLACED SENSE OF HONOUR, AND THEIR BRAVERY. SOMETIMES IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE THE ELITES AND BRUTES ARE EVEN ON THE SAME SIDE.

    A.I.-- THE SIMULATION WILL BE AVAILABLE BELOW THIS REPORT AND AND IS ACCESSIBLE TO ALL TRAINEES AND ANY READING THIS. FOR THE PURPOSES OF HISTORICAL ACCURACY AND TRAINING, NO MORE THAN 12 PARTICIPANTS SHOULD USE THE SIMULATION. THE SOURCE PROGRAM IS ALSO INCLUDED UNDERNEATH THE LINK TO THE SIM.

    This is easily one of the best covy ships ever made by anyone, I am honored to post in this thread and hopefully be first comment, you paid an astounding amount of attention to detail, the fact that it forks for invasion is even better. Amazing Job!

    Wow, home come i have never tested this, i belive we're friends on XBL..... It looks awesome. Great idea of having this as an invasion map, and going into the ship through the phases. Truthfully, i thought it was a covy ship in the thumbnail. Really nice job on the thread too. I'll DL and play a game on this.

    Um, yeah. x2 What he ^^^ said. Technically, I'm spamming by not providing well-thought out feedback, but shizen, man. I did a double take. Shook my fist at you for breaking the forum rules with your highly misleading thumbnail image, clicked on the thread link and promptly **** my Spartan cod piece. Gorgeous. Very cool idea. DLing and giving it a go.

    Thankyou, I wanted ppl to get a 'HALO' experience. I originally wanted it to be a remake of "Truth and Reconciliation" from CE, but it wasn't working too well, so i't now more of a homage to all those great campaign battles. It's had a lot of testing but not sure if the gametype is balanced.

    We probably never played this, Longshot, cos it's hard to get about 10-14 ppl into a game of invasion, it always rockets upto 16 ppl or drops to 8 ppl.

    But Thankyou all so very much for the kind comments, I have honestly put everything I have into this map.

    Advice for the spartans is to push like crazy on all phases, and ENJOY!

    Some people have been getting confused during the 2nd and 3rd phases. After you get up the grav lift, do it like this, Spartans:

    Way hay! Good to see this re posted! I loved the aesthetics of the ship before and I still do. It is awesome that the ship inside is playable and is well made. The invasion is solid but greatly improved from the first version. I like all the phases of the invasion mission.
    All well thought out. This has the looks and is a great game.

    I would add slayer in the ship so that the map has more purpose, although most invasion maps are only for the one gametype. Awesome work! Great to see this back :)

    That is one hell of a well made ship mate. The fact that the inside is not only playable but is actually decently layed out...

    Cheers, TIM! yeah the first version was a bit on the broken sidde, but this one plays really solidly. Glad you like it!
    I know I should make it into a slayer map, but that takes TIIIIIIME, but I will do one day.

    Sorry if some of the links look a bit rubbish, they all work, I'm just struggling with the post a bit LOL!

    WOW! Thanks! Give it a play, I'm confident this is playable enough despite the Aesthetics, which took me a bloody age.
    I actually started this when they announced the forgetacular compo, but between being a daddy, working and testing, I have only just got round to posting this version.
    Please play and comment on your experiences, It's probably not perfect!! :)

    this is a very good replica of the covenent ship. at first i thought, "oh its just for show... there's no way" because i saw players on the ground. but when i saw that you can play IN the ship, my head almost blew up. very good use and conserving the pieces to finish it.

    I give it a 9.5 out of 10

    Ship looks sweet. I'mma run this a few times to see how it plays. I love the description for this as well. I'm always amazed at the ship names people come up with, they always seem to fit so nicely. Yours is no exception to this finding. good stuff mang. Downloaded.

    Awesome map it looks amazing. really like the engenies mostly because there cylinder shaped. most covy ship remakes dont have that i think it looks reallt cool. keep up the good work.

    B-e-auuutifully made ship man. The aesthetics are wonderful and it really looks like a covey ship. It doesn't look cheaply made at all. I really like that you can go inside, I thought there was no way you could go in that ship, then I saw the pics and was suprised. Really fantastic job man.

    Thankyou. I guess I just wanted to give the customs community the very best looking ship i could, and hopefully through all the testing I have done (and the testing still underway by all you guys), it plays well once your inside too.

    Nothing short of spectacular; starting on the ground is a genius idea. At first you **** a brick when you see this beautiful ship, then **** another brick when you see the lift (which, by the way, is very well done. The rocks are nicely placed and the lift itself is perfect). The inside is a very good map in and of itself.

    Your hard work has paid off, it seems!

    Dude spectacular job on the aesthetic qualities of this covey ship. Truly excellent the way you rounded the edges and everything. At first I thought it was a mistake to have this map not in the aesthetic section but after playing it I can see why. Awesome gameplay a little lag in some phases especially within the ship but still awesome gameplay and great looking map. DL and liked

    Why were you worried about releasing this beaut?

    Hands down, this is the greatest Invasion map I have seen. You have done a fantastic job on that ship, and the fact you can actually enter it is really good too. I imagine it plays solidly, and I'm gonna bug my friends to come on Reach and play this map!

    Does it have any framerate or flash issues when you play it with 12-16 players? If not then this maps rocks. I've seen many maps that look very good and would work pretty well if it wasn't for the awful framerate.

    I'll probably go give it a go this saturday. :)

    Thanks, Delta! Veyr kind. I can't say I ever had trouble with frame rate inside the ship!! if you stand underneath it and look up then it does slow down a little, but that's to be expected I suppose.

    I have played dozens of maps that lag much worse than this, hand on heart.
    But why it is mostly lag free is a bit of a mystery to me, just lucky I guess!

    well not to be rude but you do know that CCS means covenant capital ship. and that is a covenant battlecruiser
