    Sublimitas



    "Sublimitas" is a Latin word meaning elevation. I gave the map this name not because it has many levels of elevation but because of the height advantage given to the middle of the map. I spent many days just drawing out the layout on paper and than I actually started to forge the map.

    I have made small edits to the map from the time that I originally created the drawing but that is still the basic layout. Also I'm sorry if it's bad quality or it confuses you I had to use my phone and I made a lot of changes on the paper.

    Blue spawn room, I reduced the starting spawns to 4 starting spawns so the map does not support 6v6.

    The map supports Slayer, CTF, Headhunter, Oddball, KoTH, and Stockpile.

    2x Snipers 120 sec.
    2x Needler Rifle 45 sec.
    2x DMR 45 sec.
    1x Needler 30 sec.
    1x Plasma Pistol 30 sec.
    2x Magnum 30 sec.
    4x AR 30 sec.
    4x Plasma Grenade 30 sec.
    2x Frag Grenade 15 sec.

    Other:
    Overshield 120 sec.
    2x Jetpack 30 sec

    This is my first finished map on Halo Reach so most of my forging experience comes from Halo 3. Also I am working on two more maps that should be finished within the next month or two if you like this one check those ones out later.
    I have gotten some requests to make this with MLG settings which I may do later on.
    Thanks to all testers and my friends for giving me criticism and suggestions while making the map.

    Great Job

    Well, first off I would like to say that your post was well put together. Great job! Your fantastic at putting threads together compared to most first posters, so don't be so hard on yourself.

    As for your map, it looks very well put together and clean. I love the layout and the tree in the center adds a nice touch.

    I can't comment on game-play just yet though, as I have not played on it. So I will try and play it tomorrow with some of my friends and comment back.

    A definite download from me and keep up the great work.

    Ok when I saw your username on like 7 of the 10 most recent posts I knew something was up. It seems like you haven't read over the rules of the forums. *Hint* read rule number 1.

    As for the map, it looks very well thought out, especially since you have a paper sketch. The post is very well done as well, it being your first post. In the future I would recommend not taking your screenshots in forge. It just doesn't look good. The layout looks great and I can see that you put a lot of time into it. And welcome to Forgehub!

    Now, NO MORE SPAMMING.

    That sketch that you have is more like a design blueprint. My map sketches are like scribbles and impossible to decipher unless your me ;). Yours is very neat and structured.

    The map is very aesthetically pleasing and seems like it would be fun to play a game on, which I haven't done yet unfortunately.

    Right now the only changes that I would make would be some changes to the weapon spawns. The needler and Plasma Pistol should be on a higher spawn time (I use 60 for Needlers and 90 for Plasma Pistols). The Plasma Pistol should be regarded as a power weapon (or semi-power weapon) because of its charged shot.

    I've been told they're like blueprints haha I try using just a small 6 inch ruler and use half a centimeter as 1 unit for the like 4x4 boxes and stuff so I know what items actually work.
    And I'm not very amazing at weapon spawns and everything so I'll take that into mind when I start editing on this again. Thanks.

    Yah I must've spent atleast a week trying to figure out a good layout and drawing it on paper definitely helped me a lot. I think the gameplay may be iffy so when I make changes to it for a v2 I'll probably do much more testing than I did on this version
