    YES! You finally posted this. This map is epic, and I had a great time testing with you (by the way, I need your help testing a new map). Downloaded for sure.

    Also, FIRST.

    Omg, only took like, forever to post. This might be my favorite Invasion map eer built (even surpassing Cargo Port). I had the best time testing, even though most of that actual time was just me and you in Forge/Custom Game just giving me a tour of the map. By the time I actually got in a game with you, it was just so awesome. The aesthetics were phenomenal! Straight out of ODST with extra grey! Nice job, and after looking at your super awesome sig, I really want to see allthose other maps.

    Love the large feel to it and narrow straight forward passage way. It looks great and just feels great. The only real problem I did find with this was the begging room didn't feel like it truly match up with the overall feel to the map. If anything I would recommend some more details to the begging of the map. Still great feel to the overall look and feel of the map! :D

    Oh my god... i love ODST, and the pictures look just like Data Hive. I'm gonna have to download when i get a chance... one question though. did you stick to weapons available in ODST?

    WOW this map looks boss. Your aesthetics look good since there not too over the top. btw my enclosed invasion map is bigger, but then again its just a giant rectanglar box made out of coliseum walls, still its bigger.

    o_O...You have made one of the best aestheticly pleasing invasion maps I have ever seen and I make good invasion maps...the data stack idea is amazing...the rocky long pathways are epic withthe narrow pathways....this not only reminds me of odst but halo 1 and 2 campain asthetic feeling...I also remake campain missions from halo so this is very impressive for me to see someelse do the same for I have only seen one toher person do the same...you have made me very happy...however I must also mention what might need work for I am a invasion forger...the direct pathways can be hetic and make it hard for people to cap for the defenders are a focused on one point and stop them there...so the attacking team might have a hard time facing the defenders camping skills but you dont want to under power the defenders becasue the gameplay will become boring and too easy...the best way would to make multiple routes to the objective so that the gameplay is interesting and fun...also I would like to know what stops the defending team from just camping the teleporter for the core room...because this would be a serouis problem that would ruin the game for the third phase...in an overview...amazing idea with epic aesthetics but what stops the elites from camping the third phase?

    Nice idea using Data Hive for invasion. Too bad I hated the mission in ODST :p Nonetheless, this is a really well made map and overall fun to play on. Great job.

    Yeah lol I kept showing you forge but you never got to play on it. It was only last week when you got your first game. Also lol my sig. I should work on those maps.

    Budget = $50. Also how come you don' think it fits with the rest of the map. Its like in ODST when you are trekking it through the levels and then finally arrive at the drop shaft down to the Superintendant. Anyway, thanks for the comment.

    Each phase has to pathways and each objective is separated by a middle structure while still allowing access to either sides. Also the sword room is not campable at all. It has 3 ways out (doorway, 2 different receiver nodes). Also shotguns.
    Thanks for extended criticism, its greatly appreciated.

    I thought Data Hive was actually a fun level. Oh well, different opinions, thanks for the comment!

    Couple of fun facts:
    - This map was inspired directly by the level Data Hive in ODST.
    - This map took me 2 days to build
    - This map also took me 2 months to perfect
    - One of my friends saw the map the first day, then fainted from amazement the next day when he saw almost fully completed
    - If I could be bothered I would have rebuilt it
    - Its the largest fully inclosed Invasion map ever built

    The thing is, when I moved the older posts to this newer thread, vBulletin uses the newest out of the posts within the thread as the first, original post. So yours is a bit further down. Hadn't realized it'd do this when I suggested it to ya :p

    I am almost as confused by what happened to this thread as I am impressed by the map. You did an awesome job of recreating one of the cooler areas from ODST. I haven't actually played a game on here yet, but I ran through it in Invasion by myself and was very impressed. Great job Crypto, aesthetics alone should be enough to earn this an FHF. Invite me next time you play.

    Yes well it's a long (actually it's quite short) story involving a thumbnail glitch and 2 threads.
    And yes certainly. Next time I'm online I'll try and get a game together and I'll invite you.

    Nope there are now 3 ways out. You can still exit via the doorway but there is now a teleporter that leads to 2 different receiver nodes. Also the core carrier gets 2x overshield plus and increased jump height (engineer ftw).

    So I was wondering... the core (engineer) give everyone around it an overshield like in ODST?

    Sadly no because there are no options for proximity traits. I wish there was though as that would be hectic!

    Just sweet. I know this is a remake, but it feels original to me. The rising blocks in P1 remind me of Halo 2's level in the wall before the library. That is a really great use of invasion, I am trying to think up a similar idea for doors that open a cool way. The area with the shield doors seems easy to camp, but I don't know. The Fx is perfect too, I found that combo long ago and it makes the metal objects shine; do not remove it, it is so beneficial. I will be keeping this, I am studying to design a new invasion map and this will be helpful. 4.5/5.

    Thanks man! I woulda thought that the rising blocks reminded you of the data stacks in Data Hive, but thats just me. :p

    The core room is in fact not easy to camp as it it is really small and the humans are given shotguns in that phase.

    I haven't played ODST, so that is why Halo 2 popped up. I love the map, and I'm starting on my second invasion map right now with some inspiration from yours. The idea of a moving piece instead of a disappearing one was awesome, so I am trying to implement doors that open after phase 1 and 2. I'll tell you when I have gotten it to a playable state, thanks and good job!
