Second Legend of Zelda map. This is the Gerudo Fortress, from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

I don't know what the game developers were thinking, but this fortress makes little architectural sense. The interior didn't always match up with the exterior. Hallways liked to cut through other hallways and rooms had a tendency to double-back on themselves and deposit you above where you entered, in a way that couldn't work in reality.

One of the jail cells that the carpenters that you had to save were held. These rooms were extremely large, so I subtly placed a huge column in the center of the room for cover. Not very discreet, I know.

I think I did a better job with the kill zones. I don't think players will be able to escape the map, but I'm not sure. I didn't thoroughly test it out.

I also added features that weren't already there, in order to open up access to hard to reach areas. Hopefully improving gameplay. For instance, the pit that you are dropped into whenever you are caught by the guards is now connected to a hallway and there's a mancannon inside that jettisons you into the area above the pit. I hope I didn't desecrate the fortress in this manner. Just trying to make it into a map.

Weapon and player spawns are decent, I think. Good enough to play a casual game, hopefully. I unfortunately didn't get to test this very much. The most I played with on it was three. Sadly, I don't have many friends who enjoy Zelda AND Halo.

    Anyway, enjoy...please.

bringing the epicness of zelda to the beauty of halo... truly magnificent. as for the post itself it would be good to have comparison shots so people can get a feel for how the original looked.

    *Jizzes in pants, AGAIN!*

Dude you gotta stop making these awesome maps, my ***** cant handle it. I'm surprised you took upon this challenge. I know exactly what you mean when you are talking about the structure and scale of the fortress. I like what you added with the pit area, it doesn't hurt the idea of the map and it benefits gameplay. Again awesome job and keep up the orgasm inducing maps.

Is Slayer really the only gametype that works with it? The map looks great, but it would be nice if more gametypes were available

I know what you mean. I'll work on implementing more gametypes.

    Super...Uber....Epicness....x 9million!

This will probably be the best swords map to play on, ever. Can't wait to make my friends have a nerdgasm of nostalgia over this xD

Your other Zelda map seems like it could potentially be competitive, but this one should definitely be in the casual or aesthetic section. Pretty cool though..
