No, it wont unfortunately, The only way to increase the chances of getting a shiny thru breeding is by breeding a pokemon thats from another language and country from you. Also, Im thinking of soft resetting for a shiny Kyruem. Dont know if its worth the effort though :/
If you've got the patience to do it then go for it. I remember Pigglez mentioning that he had to Soft reset over 2000 times before he got a shiny legendary.

Woah, woah, woah, there. Who said I'm hacking? RNG abuse isn't a hack, you can do it legally. You're just manipulating your DS's clock and many in-game occurrences to produce a legal PID for your pokemon that will produce the desired effects you want (i.e. high IV's, nature of choice, shininess, etc etc etc). You can read all about it here. I don't even own an Action Replay lol. On a side note, it's supposedly easier to do this in Black and White because shininess and IV's no longer affect PID but I have yet to look into it. Breeding a shiny as opposed to a normal pokemon has no effect on the chances of producing a new shiny. It's still 1/a really high number. Haha I've wanted to do this for a while, but we've never really had a huge following of sorts. If enough people were up for it, I'd be down.
Haha you win, good sir. Chemistry's worthless anyways lol. But yeah, the no legendaries is probably a good idea. Although, if absolutely necessary, we could probably make the old exceptions (Jirachi, Celebi, Heatran, The Lake Trio, The Canine Trio, The Bird Trio) as well as more if necessary.
Well you can look up the meta ratings and limit a FH tournament to OU, which is basically no legendaries as well as a few others and Wobbuffet.
