I've got the shiny Suicune and Celebi to train. I need to know some good moves for them and what skill to EV train. Here's the deets: Suicune - LVL 30 Sheer Cold Air Slash ExtremeSpeed Aqua Ring Celebi - LVL 50 Leaf Storm Recover Nasty Plot Healing Wish
Since those appear to be the default movesets for the events and you haven't provided IVs or natures (IVs are understandably tricky to get compared to other stuff), it would be difficult to say exactly what will work. If you're not too worried about the metagame and competitive, you can always use the standard 6HP/252Speed and 252 in which ever Atk stat is higher for the mon in question (SpAtk for S, Either for C). Neither one is that amazing offensively, so giving Suicune a somewhat defensive setup and Celebi an assisting one would probably work best. Another thing to consider is that while Celebi has very good stats overall, it does have seven weaknesses, many of which are quite common, so relying on it is a bad idea. Thankfully Suicune is much better off, with only two weaknesses and four resistances, although electric and grass type attacks are rather prevalent.
I just want to train them bro. I need a good moveset and they're just event pokemon so I have no idea about the IVs.
Totally understandable. As I said, Suicune is pretty balanced, HP and both defenses are good and he's got a decent SpAtk and speed and more resistances than weaknesses. Since it's relatively bulky you can use a setup move like Calm Mind to make him more powerful and then go all out with special moves. I'm not sure what EVs to suggest for that since his stats are all pretty good other than attack. I'm not sure about what to suggest for Celebi since supporters aren't my sort of thing, I'm mainly an in-game player myself. Anyway, here's some links to the pages for each on Smogon, although those should be more guidelines than your concrete "do this" list. Bulbapedia has lists of all the moves they can learn so you can figure something out that works for you. Suicune | Celebi
I found out today at Gamestop when I picked up my Celebi that on March 8th through I think about a week, Gamestop will be giving away Victini, a Fire and Psychic Legendary Pokemon in Black & White. Here is some info on Victini: Serebii.net Pokédex - #494 Victini
Aw, sick! Man, sucks that I don't have Wi-fi. However, I has Action Replay, I guess I'll get it that way.
I dont think you need Wi-Fi, I think just Mystery Gift. You just walk in to Gamestop and "Recieve via Wireless" and boom, pokemans achieved I learned out some more info about it. You dont recieve Victini directly, you get a Liberty Pass and in Black/White you get access to Libery Garden Tower and that is where Victini will be.
Just got White and picked Snivy. Any ideas on what to do as I play? Edit: I think I just found a typo.. In the town with the first gym, there's a girl by the fountain who says TMs(!) are reusable. Edit 2: Cheren(?) looks like my ninth grade maths teacher, who was a girl..
No typo, dude. TMs can be used unlimited times now I'm in the Castelia Gym at the moment. Using Pignite, Simisage, Munna, Throh, Blitzle and Roggenrola. Enjoying the ride so far. Castelia is gawwwwgeous.
I'm waiting until tomorrow to buy White, but I've been looking into getting Colosseum and XD (the two gamecube games). They don't follow the same pattern as the other what, 17 games now? That really peaks my interest, but haven't been able to find anywhere that has either of them Has anyone played them? Are they any good?
colleseum was the best game in my opinion, XD i didnt play that much, but it wasnt too different what games do you have right now? Do you have a gba>gamecube link cable, and any genIII games and a GBA? Also, i just bought white, just opened it, about to start playing on my crap DS Spoiler YouTube - all 14 pokemon theme songs
Just got white last night at midnight. Already snagged three gym badges and am working on putting my final in-game team together (Braviary, Victini, Zoroark, Haxorus, Bouffalant, and Excadrill with Reuniclus and Jellicent also trained in close proximity). I'll see how my metagame team forms from what I like in-game. [br][/br]Edited by merge: I loved Colosseum. It was refreshing to play in an area/storyline completely new to the average pokemon framework. You definitely won't be disappointed with it. XD was pretty good as well but I definitely loved Colosseum over XD.
I got 3 SPs, and 2 GBA to GC cables, as well as Pokemon Emerald. I'm looking on eBay for the other Gen3 games, I have two bids for all five for under 3 bucks, but I keep getting out bidded last minute. At least the guy's a power seller. I'll probably be trying to buy the games all week. My buddy told me that XD > Colosseum, and that if I played one, the other would seem redundant. I still want to give 'em both a try, just got to find them, though :/
it is kinda redundant, they have a similar gameplay. id go with colloseum but im biased, only reasons i can say are i think the first is cheaper, and its the original. besides that i suppose its prefrence. emerald is amazing though, colloseum and emerald are my 2 favorite games
From what Ive heard, its basically an evolution of the Underground concept from Gen IV. Two players link DS's to complete objectives and roam around together.
That's still pretty sweet. Now if only I could get the software for my WiFi connector.. I have no idea where my installation disc is... Never mind, apparently I don't need that old piece of junk WFC any more. Liberty pass FTW!
