    Hello Forge Hub. I am here to present my new map, Cobalt. Cobalt is a small symmetric map made for 2v2s and 3v3s, and also 1v1s. Now here is the overview of the map. There are two spawn bulidings on either side that contain two frag granades and a Needle Rifle. A large central bridge that connects two middle bases, a Magnum and a health pack are in each building. On the right side, is a DMR on both ends. To connect the right side, is a small brige that has two plasma granades and a heath pack below. On the left side, is a walkway and a drop down to the side waterway. In the waterway, there is a dropshield. There is a latter to get back up that does not require jumping, and a entry to the main waterway. In the center, there is a granade launcher. That about wraps up the map, watch the video and look at the pictures for more information.​

    I have been working on this map for a long time. I belive it has been 7 weeks of making, pefecting, and testing. This map was originaly made as a 3v3 map, but then the Throwdown contest came out, so then i made it perfect for a 2v2. This is also for a nice 1v1. This map is made for over 5 gametypes. Anyway, enjoy!​

    Number of downloads for v1 was 64. The number of downloads reset for v2.

    Changes coming in update:

    Version 2 is out!
    I recently made changes to this map. The changes included mostly aesthetic alters. I deleted the covers by the small bridge, and added railings for better view of the main waterway. I added doorways to the central buildings to add more of a room feel, not just blocks there. I covered up the side of the inclines at the bases, to make it look more smooth. I added above the latter entrence to have a cleaner aesthetic feel. I also made some very minor adjustments that are not worth mentioning. No gametype changes were made simply because the throwdown submitions are due tomarrow, so im just concentrating on slayer. I added pictures below, to show the changes to the map.

    This is a really cool looking map.I like the ladder idea and the water looks like it will add cool effects during gameplay for example grenades and AR spray.The curved bridge is also a nice feature.I will play with some friends and give it a real testing.

    Thank you. I agree with the cool effects. And if you do play this soon, i want to get some viewer feedback on the gameplay. That way i can make some changes i haven't already made, and perfect this map even more.

    Wow, this map is very well forged and super creative. I like the waterways and the small bridge. Also, good job on the pics, they look great. The overall design of this map looks great and I'm betting the gameplay is good too.

    I really like the map's design for a 2v2 map, I've seen similar 4v4 styled maps, but this one is by far the most interesting. The ladder is a very creative touch on the map in place of stairs or a lift.

    So it's finally out! I had fun helping you out with the testing and everything, well done map. The design is so simplistic, yet you twist it and create great and original ways of actually forging it. Good luck with it, great job my friend.

    Thanks, It took me a while to get the latter perfected. To get the right hight and to make it aestheticaly pleasing. Thanks for the feedback.

    Yes, i appreciate all the help that you contributed to this map. The simple design, and the complex forging is what I think makes the map. Anyway, thanks for everything, i enjoy forging with you.

    I had an enjoyable time testing this, and I'm glad you took some of my suggestions. This being the first time I've seen the finished product, I think that it's appropriate for me to add that I think you did a good clean forge here. Nice to see you add some spice to the screenies, what with the blue stuff and all. Good day, and I hope that this is only the start of a successful forging career.

    Thank you, i enjoyed you being one of my testers. You gave alot of postive feedback. I tried to follow up on your suggestions, which the changes ended being a cucial piont, so im glad to see that you like them. also, i did take my time and made shure that this was a very clean forge, and made the picures eye candy. And yes, this is just the begining of my forge career peak. I will have some maps coming out soon!

    Wow Jackson I am very impressed in the updated version. You turned a great competitive map into and even better one. Placing some more aesthetics lightened the map up and made it look pleasing. Also, the next cover placed was a very nice touch to increase gameplay and overall outcome of how the map is played. For example, where players go the most and what weapons they use. I must say though that the original was quite a fantastic map. Weapon placement was key, health packs placed well and the grenade launcher makes for the perfect power weapon on this map. The whole water theme also makes this map one of my favorites. Great job Jackson!

    I had a lot of fun playing on this map. It felt like every inch of it saw action. I especially like its visual appeal. When I went to watch the match in theatre mode, I spent most of the time just admiring your scenery. Well done.

    Thanks alot! I spend most of the time making the map have perfect flow, and be very aetheticaly pleasing. Its good for somone to notice all that hard work. Btw, I enjoyed playing on hangnail, good luck in the Throwdown comp. Thamks again!

    Very nice map I love the theme for the map because you use the ramps to enhance it with the colors of the ramps...the water also enhances the theme and it really adds to the aesthetic value of the map becasue you alternate the objects on the map and use objects that arent as metallica dn then water to add a natural value to the map...the bridges and the pathways also add to the aesthetics and they add to the gamplay by making more ways to play the map there is also an open area in the middle that makes a map with open areas and pathways...that makes a nice map with different areas and gameplay types you can go with...there is also plenty of cover and as a last note I love the ladder you have...keep up the good work...

    There are one way shields barely visible that push you up. Then i made it aesthetically pleasing with capture plates and antenna smalls. Thanks for the comment.

    I'm not trying to be mean, but could you at least have said, "Nice map man, the aesthetics look amazing and it looks like you worked hard on this map, I also love the ladder, how does it function?" Some people work hard on maps and could use some constructive critcism/ feedback on the map. Help him out, as everyone else. Again, I'm not being mean, I'm just trying to save you from getting a spam infraction as well as helping fellow forgers out :) Anyways, Jackson I've played this map a few times and I have to say the forging is outstanding and the aesthetics are just the same. One thing I think you should think about changing is that little bridge, it seems to me alittle out of place and just doesn't feel right there. That's just IMO though. I really look forward to your future maps. Keep it up.

    Wow. Just awesome the waterways are cool and the small bridges are neat i like how you put cover on the bridge. Looks great and I like that there isn't any power weapons (BTW i dont count the grenade launcher as a big power weapon) instead of putting tons on a map this scale. also one of the best maps ive seen with armor abilities on it. Good Jobs.

    Beautiful. Though it felt cramped.

    I ran through it twice before I noticed the section on one length that dropped down with the ladder. Fantastic.

    Overall it like it, though it feels cramped (as opposed to small, I get that you have it designed for 6 players max). I was wishing for a raised platform section opposite of the dropped down sewer section.

    Definitely a keep though.

    Well i can agree that its cramped only when there is more than about 6 players. I have it set up for 4v4, but i feel that 3v3 is the maximum capacity for the map. During gameplay, it doesn't seem as cramped as you would think. This map is perfect for fast-paced, hectic gameplay. Other than that, I am glad that you liked the map!

    As soon as i saw part of my name in here, i was intrigued, and i am very glad i found this gem. Looks very impressive, i love what you did here ... looks very nice and clean. I am definitely giving this a download (logged in just to download this one map, actually)
