For the most part grids don't look good as part of a map, and it would be better if you use a soft safe zone that will give anyone who goes above the walls of your map ten seconds to return to the map. I also noticed since your pictures are in forge, most of your spawn points are out in the open and the player is vulnerable from almost every direction. It's better if players spawn with their back or side near or against a wall so they can be sure an enemy isn't going to suddenly kill them from behind.
Meh, I think the map would look worse without the grid, and the spawn system should not spawn players with their back toward the enemy. Now I know that that isnt always the case, but even so, there only appear to be a few spawns in that situation, and the probability that the spawn system will mess up and the player will be at that spawn is low. So overall the map appears to be fine, dont overthink things. Going to DL in 3... 2... 1... *click*
Thanks for your concern but I assure you the grid is there for a reason. For one the grid can be used well to ricochet grenades/launcher into hard to reach places or to have the launcher explode right above a building someone may be on. I have also used it many times in conjunction with the spikers to finish off a shield-less enemy that is behind an obstacle. Now about the spawn, yes there are a few in that position which I did happen to overlook but most of them are very well placed as a lot of testing went into this map. I also use spawn zones to help lower the risk of bad spawning. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Actually.. after going into forge I realized that there is not a single spawn where you have your back turned to an enemy.. From the screen shots it looks like that would be the case but all the spawns that are like that are your teams spawns. Nobody came across spawning issues which was good, everything worked as I though.
