It seems "findmakarov.com" isn't an actual website, so I'm doubting the validity...

i am pretty sure the third studio for solely developing CoD titles (i forget the name, long rumoured to be doing the microtransaction multiplayer exclusive/MMO CoD) have taken up the slack.

the title is behind schedule - and not confirmed to be MW3, there is a title supposedly based around Ghost in the works.

but i would be surprised if there was no big CoD title this year.

I'm not that excited, and I never really got into Black Ops, but I do actually want this game to be a success, not just in the financial department. Sure, the series has taken a turn recently, but hopefully they can pull themselves out.

Also, I'd really like this thread to stay as discussion, I'm sick and tired of people constantly abusing the series, the developers, etc.

Yes, I can't wait for COD: 2k11 or was it COD: 2k12? I'll probably rent it since I enjoyed MW2, BLOPS did some thing right, but they seemed to fixed their spawn problems with just having a single spawn point for each team. Which is redundant and does not help player movement. Whatever, yea I know, everyone's a critic.

Hopefully it isn't as boring as Black Ops. I don't even care about balance in Call of Duty games anymore, I just want a fun experience without piss hit detection and a shitty netcode.

The only CoD with bad multiplayer made by IW was MW2. The original, 2, and 4 have phenomenal multiplayer.

Apparently the same people who made the BlOps map pack are making the multiplayer (or at least the maps) in MW3, which is good, because all of the maps had their own little gimmick that made them replayable, IMO

Modern Warfare 2 was a game that, for the first month or so, most people enjoyed to some extent. However, people soon learned of all the **** they would have to put up with to play it, such as abusers of certain perks and weapons that were obviously overpowered, the completely unfair system of killstreaks, entire matches being based simply on connection and host, times where matches were nigh impossible to get into even though hundreds of thousands were playing, an inexcusable amount of hackers, etc.

They better get their **** together for MW3 or else I think CoD's time in the limelight won't last much longer. Kotick really couldn't give a ****, though, so why should we?

Crysis 2, Killzone 3, Dead Island.

Once these all come out I will never touch Call of duty or Halo again.

If I never get a game again it'll be because of Skyrim (and maybe return trips to Oblivion and the Capital Wasteland)

As much as I enjoy the CoD series, Ill admit that its tired itself out now, and its just being pushed. I liked Black Ops around the same amount I liked MW2. The thing is, as much as I love the games, they're only good for a couple of months before Hackers, bitchy connections and people abusing certain combinations of perks and weapons.

However, I think its going to be some time before CoD leaves the limelight. Because it isn't a case of "If people get sick of it, they'll stop buying it". The games sales are based off a large amount of people who do nothing BUT play Black Ops.

I play Black Ops quite regularly, but Im not one of the people who preach its the best shooter out there. There are so many shooters that are so much better.

In the end, to the REAL GAMERS, MW3 needs to correct more than one mistake. But Im hopeful.

At the same time, I dont see how EA expect Battlefield 3 "Become the king of shooters". Its nothing to do with quality. Activision know how to make money, and they'll pull every string they can to det it.
Battlefield 3 is going to be so much better in every way, but it still won't topple CoD. It just won't.
