I want to have a jump pad so players have the option if they walk over a space where a man cannon's emitting through the floor they can jump OR not, but it only works with the medium and large one-way shield door (OWSD). When I make it with the small OWSD it doesn't allow the player to jump at all - they actually get trapped by the man cannon pushing them up and the OWSD holding them down. I've tried a few different depths, none worked. When I make it with the medium OWSD it works fine, but then they can not jump in the area over the top of the OWSD around the man cannon, which I don't want. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a fix for this?
Bump, since I had the same problem once. My Pad was so tiny that I had to use a small owsd, but it didn't work =/ solutions?
I don't think you can use the small shield because it has a larger "pull" area than all the other one-way shields. I tried adjusting it on my map based off Nexn's technique but I believe it only works with the larger one-ways.
Jump pads do not work with the smallest form of one-way shield door, because they have too much 'pull.' Make sure you're using the Vehicle man cannon as well, other lifts do not work for this. Also, Jump Pads require quite a bit of tweaking and adjusting. It won't instantly work.
Getting them to work with the medium OWSD has actually been pretty easy. It's just that small one that is not working.
I know there is a youtube video on making the jump pads (I don't remember the link to it or who made it. Might be Rifte. ) so I would recommend looking it up. If you get the chance.
Yeah, unfortunately jump pads don't work with a small one way shield door, because as stated above the pull is too strong for some reason.
