I enjoy Firefight. I enjoy doing the challenges. The one thing that I'm disliking more and more are these Firefight challenges... and that's simply because most of them are more challenging to even get one of the maps to accomplish those challenges. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate more game types... even if I don't like many of them or they don't appeal to me... but a playlist that I liked because I always knew I could get a game I would enjoy playing, turned into the bane of my remaining Reach existence. 150 kills on Hold Out... while the challenge itself requires about two games to accomplish, it's a bigger challenge to even have the map appear in the 8 voting rounds of Score Attack... and that doesn't even account for having a game type you enjoy. 100 enemies on Beachhead... I've gone through Score Attack's full voting options 6 times now. I've had Beachhead come up once in 48 rounds of voting... and I didn't even want to consider any of the game types that came up for it. [br][/br]Edited by merge: Ughhh... Done last weeks weekly pretty easily (after i got a target locator) but thing is I thought LASO=Legendary all skulls on, Not LASOEB=All skulls on except blind. Because I do the laso challenges with blind on but when I went on xbox into Start>Challenges>ONI LASO. They show list of skulls in description like there the ones that have to be on and the list has all the gold and silver skulls but didn't include Blind? Does that mean I can be doing LASO without Blind skull on? Because that is what makes it hard. I normally play legendary all skulls except blind and black eye I can deal with black eye if i wasn't blind! Also now Grifball is a permanent play list some challenges are way more easily done in Grifball like double kill related ones and Close-quarter ones and some general killing ones like this weekly average about 15-20kills a 5minute(?) game.
Lol, to get this weekly you need to get (rounded) 215 kills per day. Thanks to griffball after 2 days I am just over 450. Ahead of schedule. Griffball is a BS playlist anyway so who cares? Most of the folks on the other team are there just for kills to and spawn camping is harder than on default maps.
I friggin' hate grifball. I'm done with it except for getting close quarters combat and multikill challenges. I don't know what my deal is but I cannot win 1 vs 1 hammer battles - I lose them 75% of the time it seems like, even if it appears that I swung first or we both swung at the same time. Back to topic though. Does anyone else think the current weekly is kind of over the top? I play a fair amount of Halo but I'm not even CLOSE to being on pace to hit that many kills. I've been trying to play some faster, volume-kill type of games (SWAT, multi team, infection) and still I think I would have to play a few hours a day to get this one. Doesn't seem worth it.
I haven't even bothered with any of the weekly challenges for a long time. I wish this weekly was able to be completed with Firefight. I'm enjoying Firefight Limited quite a bit. It's just a lot of AFC players who do the minimum to keep from getting smacked by the ban hammer and the lag issues that keep me from fully enjoying this playlist.
So guys, I know the quickest way to get the weekly. Go play grifball with Shad0w Viper. You get like 70 kills a game and he just holds the ball.
How are you getting 70 kills a game? Even in Grifball that seems like a ton. I've about sworn off Grifball - I feel like I lose 70% of my hammer 1v1 situations, even if I appear to swing first or at the same time. That game drives me nuts.
Is it just me, or is there no longer a shotgun loadout in Firefight? I know that Score Attack used to before the new firefight playlists, but didn't they replace it?
I don't do Grifball for anymore kill challenges. Its harder to win the 1v1 or 1v2 fights with hammers. For this weekly challenge I usually go to Rumble Pit. 25 kills if you win and if you win 4 games you get 100 kills. Thats easy enough. 100 kills leaves enough time to play matchmaking and enjoy a load of forge or custome games. I usually do around 300 kills a day.
When I was playing grifball with shadow, he would hold the ball and make the game go full round every time. So like fifteen minutes of gameplay, and a stupendous match bonus of three thousand later, I walked out with 70-80 kills. BT got over 120 kills twice and two killionaires, but hes a ****ing boss (and cheater.) tsb is as bad with the hammer as I and generally got the same number of kills as us. Shad0w even averaged 30-40 kills a game with the bomb. Easiest kill challenge ever, after only like six total games I'm more than halfway there.
Ok... answering my own question. 2X Score Attack has a Shotgun/Armor Lock loadout still. Easily able to get the The T.G. Opposition Achievement in the Score Attack playlist today.
Me and my butt-buddy, Chips, just finished the Weekly Challenge last night. I'm so disgusted with Grifball now..
in about 5 hours gaming i got 393 kills for the uber weekly today.. Although, i'm never gonna finish it because i play customs too often
Yeah, all of my work is for nothing too. I won't be able to play more than an hour tomorrow and I'm barely halfway there. It really sucks cus I did so much work to get here
I played for around 15 hours to get this weeks challenege. A span of 5 hours of Grifball a day for 3 days. -_-
