    This is a brief summary of The Mansion:

    The idea behind this map was a close quarters focused battle within a space resembling the layout of two story modern home. One word to describe the interior firefights...hectic. If the fight becomes too overwhelming inside the battle can be taken to the backyard where a sniper and golf club reside.

    The map supports all slayer variants other than Invasion Slayer types, however I do find team slayer and FFA to be the most enjoyable.

    What stands out about this map is the fact that gameplay can occur both within the interior of the building and outdoors. This means that nothing that was used to create the interior layout of the house could protrude beyond the walls of the building as it would compromise the exterior aesthetics.

    During team based slayer games each room within the house is color coded allowing for improved team communication and coordination. Furthermore, each room has a unique appearance or function to allow freshly spawning players to instantly locate their position and quickly get back into the fight.

    I attempted to place weapon spawns in areas that most effectively promote player movement into all areas. I tried to avoid having one room become the focus of all firefights.

    Updates for version 1.5
    I changed the Sniper spawn and moved it on top of the outdoor support beam. I removed the rockets, and I placed a shed in the back yard which now has the golf club. It keeps the two weapons (sniper and "hammer") from being obtained by the same person immediately.

    I placed a mounted machine gun at the top of the stairs in the house (it's on a 180 second respawn). It was fun to fight over :)

    I added a portal on the side of the house that places anyone on the roof. This keeps the roof from being a purely jet-pack paradise.

    Weapons:
    - DMR: x3 (blue room, backyard)
    - Needle Rifle: X3 (red room, backyard)
    - Shotgun: x1 (beneath stairs)
    - Concussion Rifle: x1 (loft)
    - Sniper: x1 (outdoor support beam)
    - Golf Club: x1 (next to golf ball)
    - Assault Rifle: x1 (next to front door)
    - Mounted Machine Gun

    *Some have felt the grenade launcher better suited the map than the concussion rifle. I find both are enjoyable*

    The shed is a triple room that has 2/3 of the structure phased into the rockwall

    I'll have a download, looks interesting! Is infection compatible on it? As it's a manor, my natural instincts tell me it should be.

    Randy,

    You're right, Infection should be on this map. I had not gotten around to making it compatible simply because I don't play too much of the gametype. However, I will get on that and make it a playable gametype. Shouldn't be too difficult
